The shark set is clearly substandard then
Anyway, the Whale Shark is the equivalent of the Diplodocus (which beats the T-Rex in two areas (weight and age (120 million years old and 30 tonnes, as opposed 75 million years old and 7 tonnes))).
Anyone interested enough in shark cards would also know the notoriety of the Hammer Head and Tiger sharks. While they don't grow as large as the Great White, they are much more deadly. So it still fits as I wouldn't expect the Great White to be anything other than top middle maybe...
Fo rpoint of reference, my Dino pack is 30 years old, hence why it has Diplodocus rather than Brontosaurus (it wasn't discovered until later that they are mistakenly the same animal). At that time though, it was correct, and T-Rex and Diplodocus were seen as the top. A new pack would probably have Deinonicus as the most feared, and probably that new bigger than T-Rex dino they found a few years back. Also, Gigantasaurus would replace the Dip/Bronto.
So there we are
Inverse, your trump card shouldn't be undefeatable, just mostly so and to appear it. It should be trumped in one or two areas by at least a couple of other cards.
Snoo, maybe, but it seems like a lot of work. They would have to be redone from scratch
