Gutted! The only 2010 coaster I have is Th13teen. Oh well. I'm sure that'll be better than my 2011 list.

2012 should see Cars Land and Transformers. I know they're not coasters, but they should both be pretty interesting.
 
I don't remember the years, but I've been on Storm Runner (Hershey), Fahrenheit (also Hershey), and Pony Express (Knott's) in their first year. I'm a bit ashamed to say Pony Express, but I was in LA, I went to Knott's for Xcelerator, and I figured I might as well.
 
Vertigo at Tivoli Gardens and Saw - The Ride, both in 2009. Can't think of any others. Don't know wether I was hyped up for them though, when I went to Thorpe I was eg looking forward a lot mor to ride Stealth than Saw!

I had a stroke of bad luck on this one. I'll explain as best as I could, and probably help speak or elaborate for a good amount of other people:

It's so disappointing that the only coaster I've personally got to ride during its opening season (2010) just happened to be one during its absolute worst phase (trims added/slowed down and neck-breaking OTSR. Any of this sound familiar?), then BACK to being better after I rode it (more comfortable strap harnesses, trims removed). What makes this even more of a perfect letdown is that the slowing down of the speed happened just before I rode it, AND the adding of the straps happened just after I rode it, NOT TO MENTION it running at full speed again. Even more - this COULD have been AND WOULD have been a notable coaster to ride on its opening season too, but what a letdown. Disappointments to no end - this coaster lost all its credibility that it's not even worth mentioning for this thread.

I believe the only ones I've ridden during the opening season/year are Expedition Everest, Rock n' Roller Coaster, Superman Ultimate Flight (Great America), and Manta.

The only one that comes to mind is Behemoth in Canada's Wonderland, Toronto.

It's basically like Goliath (a staple for most Six Flags parks, this particular one in Walibi Flevoland). I thought the overall ride was really smooth and since it was the highest one in the park, that was a bonus.

In terms of the height/speed/thrill, etc., I'd say Behemoth beats Goliath, but nothing beats a great ride set in a beautiful location. So Goliath gets brownie points for atmosphere.

Only ever rode Behemoth in opening season, at least I think that's it. But if anything else opens at Wonderland, I'm there.
