I can't think of any obcsure rollercoaster related street names, but I'll contribute to this topic with an Google Streetview image of a destroyed church in Southampton, which Jordan has named "The Swarm Church".

- let's see your examples of a real life "Swarm" church.

This is Valle Crucis Abbey, about 7 miles down the road from me in Llangollen. I went on a bit of an epic walk a couple of weeks ago and ended up here and took a few pictures. It used to be a monastery until Henry VIII put paid to the pope's shenanigans.

I can't begin to imagine what that looks like... Oh wait - due to the power of the internet, I don't need to imagine, I can embed photos :p

Though obviously I know the church well, it's just down the road from a really good Chinese restaurant I go to whenever I go to Liverpool :)

There was a fantastic abandoned abbey between Thirsk and Malton when I was heading to Flamingoland once. There's been an accident on the main road and the diversion took us past it. It was huge and imposing and the road ran right through the middle of a great archway. I have no idea what it's called, maybe somebody from that are can let me know?

Could be, but I don't think so

I was coming down from Northumberland, so I don't think I'd be on that road. I also clearly remember the road cutting through the remains. I can't find anything like that though in the area. It was a long time ago though and my memory could easily be playing tricks

In 1995, a church in Eastleigh (where I live) caught fire.

It destroyed the roof and turned into a Swarm church!

I'd like to think that Candy [strike]Horror[/strike] Holland passed the church every day and eventually used it as inspiration for The Swarm church.

The church stood in the destroyed state for about 20 years until it was turned into [strike]apartments[/strike] flats.

Charles Church in Plymouth has a pretty good apocalypse feel to it:

It looks a bit **** now, especially with the (relative) modernisation of the rest of the city, but still quite Swarm-esque. It even ended up like that from the blitz, which seems kinda fitting too.

I know it's cheating but I was reading about the Blitz and found this image:

It's a church in Belfast.

How good would Swarms inline have been going through an arch like in that church. Thorpe missed the trick there.
