RCT3- Shuttle Coaster Contest

Yay! My first contest!

So the rules are simple:

-It must be a shuttle coaster. So there must be a track ending point so the train can go backwards.

-Any CS/CTR is allowed. Just make sure it can be downloaded. So if you make your own, you must put it up for download.

-You must include pictures(min of 10) and a POV. Any extra pictures and or videos will receive extra points.

-List manufacturer(based on track type), height, top speed, intensity rating, excitement rating, inversions(if any), custom scenery/rides, and length of track.

-You MUST HAVE A NAME(art or sign is optional)!

You will be scored on the following out of 10:

-Speed

-Intensity

-Theming/scenery

-Pictures(one picture is half a point)

-Video(s)(Extra videos receive up to 5 extra points depending on quality)

-Layout

-Elements

-Transitions

-Creativity

-Originality(Boomerangs and other recreations will receive lower scores)

You will then be judged on an average score. Highest score wins.

Your pictures must be of all elements(one picture of each), total layout, station, queue, and trains

Signups close on 7/20/14

Final products due 8/10/14

Happy building!

This is actually a very good idea for a competition. I would be up for it if this competition is still going ahead!

I was unaware that RCT3 competitions would ever resume (since activity has died down over the last year). That might be why you'd have little interest, because this forum is dominated by No Limits contests.
This sounds like a good competition. I haven't actually done many shuttle coasters, this could be fun.

I'll do a shuttle coaster and share it here even if the competition isn't going ahead or not.

I have a question, does this mean you want 6 elements minimum then?

I've effectively finished my submission. I now need to reflect on it to decide if I am entirely content with its being submitted into the contest.
-
(1/8/14) Built a second potential entry. If I can spruce it up, I'll enter this one instead.
-
(9/8/14) I've finalised my entry. Now recording relevant data.

scw55's score:

Speed- 6 Not too fast, not too slow.

Intensity- 7 Seems intense!

Theming- 6 I can tell it's in a Martian Crater! I would redo a few things like the station area, queue, and some other places, but good otherwise!

Pictures- 6 You have 12 pictures, each 1/2 a point. Not bad!

Video- 3 We're not in a Movie Making Contest, but it could've been better(remember, the vid was out of 5)

Layout- 8 Very unique, and quite symmetrical. I like!

Elements- 6 Some old, some new. I like the helix cobra!

Transitions- 8 A bit choppy entering helix, but good otherwise!

Creativity- 7 Very creative, I wouldn't ever think of this!

Final score: 6.3/10

Not bad! I think if nobody else enters, you win!
