While on rcdb today I noticed the 'New For 2011' section was already up. I clicked on it and found four new coasters going to Rainbow MagicLand, which apparantly is a new park opening in 2011. I'm assuming this is very recent news as I haven't heard, read or found anything on it...

The four coasters are a Vekoma Mine Train, Vekoma Junior Coaster, Maurer Sohne X-Car with an LSM, and an enclosed Maurer Sohne Spinning Coaster.

Yeah it does sound good. The MS Spinner is a 3000 model too, which would probably mean its going to be big, like Winjas & Fury.

The Vekoma Junior coaster is a brand new type as well, so it'll be good to see what that'll be like.

Haha, the name sounds really gay, but it definitely sounds promising for sure. Sounds like a decent coaster lineup for just opening as well. If they do a good job with theming/atmosphere, it could probably turn into a good park, let's just hope the theming doesn't really reflect the name of the park or it could be like, the gayest park in the history of ever .

How do you know that? The RCDB just says it's an unknown Junior Coaster, meaning that they don't know yet if it has one of the standard layouts or is a custom model.

IIRC, this is a project that's been in the works for a while, under several different names.

I wouldn't by tickets to Rome just yet.

This is actually kind of old news, most of us have heard of this before when the project was under the Terra Magica name. I now remember seeing many fantastic artwork pics and real constrauction pics a while back.

I was just looking at the Mauer Sohne website and they have a picture of both the X-Car and Spinning coasters layouts.

The X-car appears to get launched into a large airtime hill and into one of those non-loop things like on HRRR, then a fast overbanked turn into a MCBR. Then there's a helix into a zero-g roll.

Thats the most boring layout for a MS spinner I have ever seen, they would have been better off with the standard layout than that. The theming so far looks good though..
