I mean, it is gratefully still one of the best Gigas in the world. It just looks like cut-rate How to Train Your Dragon theme.

Is it overhyped?

The ride is hands down redonkulous.

It spends way too much time in the turns and not enough twisting around for my taste, plus it misses every airtime moment on the layout. I'm not a fan and I expect to still not be, but I do think it looks better now from what I see. My dad was also a huge motorsports guy and had a falling out with NASCAR when I was a kid so I kind of grew up hating it, haha. He liked the ride, though.

Not sure what How To Train Your Dragon has to do with any of this either, unless it was dragged up in discussion for reasons not pertaining to the ride or something.

Since the ride was built the designers got really, really good at designing airtime moments while turning. If the blackout turn were to be replaced with a rising and falling outerbank/stall to provide a very sustained airtime moment it would turn the transform the ride from a niche appeal to something everyone would enjoy and want to ride over and over.

(300 foot drop + long outerbank + lower 2nd hill = 3 straight sustained airtime moments to begin) + the current second half =

I know I'm speaking in hypothetical fantasies, but that does seem almost guaranteed to be worth the cost. No offense to the coaster's fans though...totally get it, not too often will you see a ride that forceful at that size and speed.
