I like the logo its looks like its straight from the comic books, but the concept art really makes it look amazing. Too bad it never looks as good as the concept art.
Yes, in the original artwork, it did have a tunnel that goes UNDER some water. Wether or not that's come to fruition, I cannot tell. If I remember correctly, it was between the over bank and the first 0G roll?
As a French parkfan, I am really proud of the Parc Astérix's initiative. I mean, we all waited this news to come for so long ! I haven't been in this park for some years precisely because of its lack of novelty. France was once a no B&M's land, and it's totally great things begin to change.
Actually I might not say something new (too lazy to read 60 pages anyway), but I am quite excited by Oz'Iris's layout, a departure from past B&M inverts to me. The theming looks very promising : matches well the Egyptian setting while keeping the nice humor that defines Astérix (have you noticed the mini Eiffel Tower refurbished in an Egyptian fashion ?)
Love it, really can't wait to see it in person in a couple of months time. The last big project they did the theming was insanely epic, love to see that epicness carried on here.
Perhaps this is why we've been waiting so long!
This couldn't really be more like Montu...and they're not trying to disguise it either! However, saying that, it does rival Montu and certainly rivals it too...and ,of course, there is small French touch, which works really well.
The attention to detail is, frankly amazing! Each time you queue for Oz Iris, you'll notice a theming item that you hadn't noticed before...and it doesn't matter how many times you ride!
