Oblivion to receive a repaint

I still think they should have painted it grey, but anything's better than a rusting coaster!

Also, have there been any new coasters ehere they are only painted after they've been put up?

Yeah, it's good that it's getting a bit of TLC, but it's not that drastic. The way some people are going on about it you'd swear they'd just painted it fluorescent pink.
 
I have no problems with the repaint. Black is good.
Glad to see Alton giving the ride a refurb though. It was starting to get a bit worn.

I think it is still half relief that it isn't fluorescent orange! :lol:

Looks nice though. It needed it.
I hope they get the whole of X-Sector looking good for The Smiler.

It is.

The paint makes it a different experience, so it's a different coaster. Same as a relocation, surely? ;)
 
Put aside all the rust you can see in that pic, and it does look like a brand new coaster!

It's such an improvement, X-Sector is finally going to look good again next year!
 
Really can't wait to go down on that black shaft.
