What's new

Oasis at Lakeport | Osage Beach, Missouri, USA | Theme Park

Right, so both Zamperla and Wisdom are confirmed as having rides coming to the park. Then Noble went and told Amusement Today this;

So I have questions. The final plans made it seem like the coaster contracts went to Vekoma instead, although they’ve yet to officially step into the ring and talk about it. Then you had Noble Rides display this car with the Oasis at Lakeport logo again at IAAPA, but people at the event and even Oasis reps clarified that Noble just hadn’t removed the sticker. But their sales team is still talking about the coaster.

At this point I’d just wait until they get footers into the ground before I call bull**** on either side.

Fabbri will be delivering a 50m Booster ride to "a Missouri park" this year, ostensibly for Oasis at Lakeport. Would be funny if Worlds of Fun was the culprit, though; https://carnivalwarehouse.com/newss...from-us-foreign-ride-manufacturers-1708473600

Having two Italian ride companies attached to the project gives me confidence that the initial Jinma bulk sale is mostly dead 🤣
Bit of a shame. New rides are arguably inferior to the old. But I guess politics got on the way.

Definitely takes it off my map for any future visits now with 2 bog standard clones Ive ridden countless times.

Ride imports have begun to trickle in, as promised the Fabbri Booster was indeed sent in alongside a 30m Spring Ride from Italy (does Moser make them that tall?). It did go underneath the radar at the time, but the Family Boomerang Rebound and 450m SFC are officially locked in and have parts onsite.

Might not be the most interesting park project anymore or a destination for international travelers, but still great for the area and I look forwards to seeing it progress.

Current actual construction progress, they've definitely shaped up the proposed multi-level gradient layout. Some possible foundations here and there, no ride or bruising progress on camera yet;

Ride shipments continue. Over the weekend we had 68,500 pounds of "columns" shipped from Tianjin, allegedly for that big Noble Rides/KCI observation wheel. Barring a few smaller rides and anomalies, this would be the first major Chinese ride project on US soil.

The Italian ride shipments (manufacturer unclear) are also finally starting to flow in through Lido;

Ummm... yea that's construction, I guess?

Blue track seems to be the Famerang, yellow is the SFC. Both were fully shipped in from China not too long ago so wondering which project abandoned them. Might explain how they maneuvered away from the Jinma contract so quickly.

Black airgates have been delivered, the Fabbri Booster is in the ground, and the Funtime Slingshot is vertical.

Here's a nifty bit of new artwork, seems like it'll be a nice little park based on the ride collection. Nothing terribly special elsewhere really but I'll take this over a big bulk package of Zamperla attractions;

So looking at that artwork, this time the famerang and SFC/STC (do we know which it is?) aren't intertwined? Did we know these were planned for the park? First I've heard of it, but I must admit this hasn't been the highest on my watchlist
Also that shade of blue is stunning😍

Both bog standard Vekoma junior layouts. Rebound model Junior Boomerang and orkanen layout SFC. So nothing like the intertwined STC/Boomerang models We've seen.

As for when it changed. Was since this post in the 23rd I guess

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of these small-scale "parks" popping up in more places. It just seems a little odd to me that they'd start off planning a full-on Jinma LSM thrill coaster, only to redevelop that idea into two Vekoma family products. No doubt that overall quality, reliability, and a low height req. are great selling points there, as they're super proven rides, but I do wish there was something more thrilling. But even then, I don't even know what I'd want to have gone there instead.

Do we have a more recent 'official' plan somewhere? Looks like the park layout was yet again rearranged, now the Rebound coaster is set at the East end of the site:

Work has been paused lately, for actual somewhat legit reasons for once. The timeshare condos in the middle of the site have proven tricky to acquire but after years of share buyouts and negotiations they’re ready to demolish the buildings this month. Utility lines across the work site have prevented further blasting and excavation from taking place, hopefully things will be back on track once these are disconnected;

I'm glad to see some progress being made here, although I really can't see an April 2025 opening at all. Any word on if it got pushed back?

I love seeing all these smaller parks like this and Mattel spring up. It beats seeing perpetual concepts and delays with larger projects like American Heartland.
