Earlier in the year I posted on the announcement of the new Triumph Kingdom Theme Park being built in Wuging, China. The latest concept are of the parks show one of the new coasters in much more detail and it looks like it may be an brand new Intamin Rocket coaster.

Construction of the park itself has moved forwards quickly, while much of the entrance area already complete there is still much work to do in the other areas of the park. The first coaster, a Chinese Spinning coaster is already complete but there is currently no sign of the second and third rides.

Cool. Xcelerator was the first attempt at hydraulic coasters from Intamin, so maybe theyre trying to start again and perfect it or something

Do you think they might even call it Xcelerator (or whatever it is in chinese) as well?

That's probably the most obvious clone in the world...

Is this the park that had something like a winged coaster in the artwork, but looked more like a Baco?

Looks more like they searched the web for illustratory pictures of a roller coaster, cut Xcelerator out from a picture (or said: Hey! I can try to draw that!") and slapped it onto their concept art. I don't think this is meant to be a rendering of the planned ride, it's more like "we're going to have one of those coasters over here".

That being said, I don't think it's all off either. Perhaps it will have a tophat? Looks likely, as they would have to submit planning applications for anything tall, and if they have applied for a tophat, there would have been no sense putting something different in the rendering (or vice versa). Might be an Intamin Rocket as much as any other launcher.

Monkey Kingdom's a HILARIOUS name. So funny. So amazing. It's almost like we don't have any parks named after random pink birds or anything...

Yeah, it's really not funny at all though is it?

Especially when, like I pointed out, we have a park called Flamingo Land...

^ Since when did I say that wasnt funny either? lol
Monkey Kingdom just seems more hilarious then flamingo land.

But anyways, back to the topic (haha my apologies I had my little laugh), is there any news about this ride?

Just come across this on a page about Triumph Kingdom. Looks like the U-shaped coaster mentioned in the press releases could be a new bigger version of Intamins Half-Pipe coaster

Looks a lot like a Vekoma Big Air. Anybody caring to point out the differences for me?

A Vekoma Big Air has a chain lift, where as a Have Pipe uses LSM's to launch the train back and forth.

The Big Air's look more impressive, but the chain lift and short cycle just seems like a wasted opportunity for something so big.
