New movie themed land in Europa park

It says a childrens area so I doubt it will be a full blown drop tower. It says a carousel, indoor kiddie coaster and the tower.

Err... no.

The new 2013 developments at Europa Park will be going in the new-for-2011 Enchanted Forest area.

The centre-piece will be a dark ride themed to the movie Arthur and the Invisibles, and is being designed by the director Luc Besson.

I have also heard rumours about a small support attraction, possibly a child's drop tower, though this hasn't been confirmed.

^If you beat that "such a cred" reference much more, it will have to start dating Chris Brown.

Do Mack make any suspended coasters?

So.....which country is Europe is movie themed?

That didn't stop them from doing Adventure Land which is clearly South America/Africaish. I think what Europa Park are saying is that no other European Countries are interesting enough to theme around. If I were Belgian I'd take offence.

Ah, interesting. If Joey and Ian are reading this, this is what Joravision lady at the attractions show was on about. That is, if this info about an Arthur and the Invisibles attraction is true. So basically it sounds like it'll be an area based on that franchise rather than a random movie themed land (there have been two very successful films in Mainland Europe, they didn't fair too well in the UK and America).

EDIT: Yeah this seems to have been confirmed.

And 'thanks to a recent permission granted by the City Council of Rust, which is to discover what the next step of expansion for the park after the wooden coaster that will be inaugurated in 2012, a new thematic area dedicated to children will be new for the next season 2013.

The project is a collaboration, already anticipated some time ago by the same Roland Mack during a press event, the French director Luc Besson (Nikita, Leon, The Fifth Element some of his most famous films). The theme will involve the people of the fictional characters "Invisibles", the protagonists of novels for children written by the same director and led for the first time on the big screen in 2006.

The grant covers a change of use for the area on which the new land will rise (3,000 square meters.) And that involves the insertion of a kiddie-themed indoor roller coaster, as well as a carousel and a kiddie free-fall tower .

Since the area displaced on the outskirts of the park, bordering the houses and the activities of the country, some residents proved to be a little concerned about this new expansion and the increase of noise, especially noise, which will to generate. Apparently, however, the park has arranged to study all the best solutions to be adopted to make it less impactful intervention in question.
