New Flat Ride Ideas

Flying furies are awesome! Obviously they're awful capacity wise, but the one at Tivoli Gardens rarely runs with joystick mode so why not just make the cars larger fitting 16 (4*4) people?

^It's a gondola on a long arm (15m I believe) swinging you 360 degrees in a circular motion. At the same time the gondola can spin both sideways and in a "heartline-twist motion" (don't know how to describe it :P). Maximum speed is 100 km/h and it pulls 5 g's! And on top of all that you can control the ride with your own joystick :--D But as I wrote earlier you rarely get the opportunity to do so, mainly because of the time it takes to instruct every new rider i guess.. But the ride itself is thrilling enough! So a version with larger gondolas without the joysticks would be suitable for big parks! :)

Two on one structure could work, a bit like Rush but with discs. You'd have to wonder what the point is mind.

I think such a ride would fit for a large park where some areas have height or noise restrictions. If you can't make one giant pendulum, make two smaller, dueling ones, to cope with the crowds. Kinda like what Everland did with their swinging ships.

In other words, a proper niche ride.

Curious as to why no other park has a Huss Jump as well. I thought it was a great ride. I have no idea about cost and reliability though.

It's probably down to power consumption. Jump2's have about 3x the power consumption of a giant frisbee.

I also noticed that when visiting the park that when it breaks down while I'm in line for it that they tend to fix it by opening a door and replacing a compressed air container. If they could somehow increase the capacity of the containers it holds it could probably run a lot smoother. I was actually kind of surprised to find out that no other parks have one. It really is a fun and enjoyable ride, and its never painful.

I have a very simple idea to put a new twist on the drop tower...
Instead of normal seats how about B&M Flying restraints / seats that are in the normal sitting position until the car reaches the top of the tower, then they pull back and up into the prone flying position revealing the view straight down. It would also give a quick skydive esque experience on the drop.
Hence it would be called the Skydive model.

Fairly simple idea that could be a real winner I think.
I like to think it would atleast unsettle those of us that have got too comfortable with the current drop tower line up.

I think he was going for more of a drop tower look with 4 sides, 4 seats per side, and seats that are upright for the lift and upon dropping they would rotate to face the rider downward.

What coaster is that?

Um, no, he specifically said it went onto track and became a Flying Coaster.

And it's Stingray in China.

To be honest, I have no idea what it is...

But yeah, it would be similar to the stingray ride now I look at it
