Let you middle of the 2014 season catapult us at Movie Park into a new dimension: Excavations in our park next to gigantic prehistoric relics also a 700-meter tie-fer shaft was exposed, whose dark secret it is now time to fathom. Become part of the movie Park expedition teams and make your way to the side of a renowned British archaeologist in search of a long forgotten civilization. But be careful, in the depths of the park has something survived the evolution ...

I get the feeling we could be seeing yet another indoor drop tower with effects? I'm intrigued anyway.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

A 700 meter deep shaft would be much too big for an indoor drop. More likely some sort of 3D dark ride that's supposed to take you deep underground. Would be great if it had a huge drop in the ride.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

Opening this year doesn't give a lot of time, meaning that it can't be anything too major.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

700m is huge. What on earth are they doing with that? Tiefer is just German for deep.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

Not sure why you'd think the ride will actually be 700m tall purely because that's the size of the shaft in the story?

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

^This. The Tomb of Terror at Flamingoland was 12 floors underground.

Oh no wait, the lift moved up and down about 6 inches.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

I didn't suggest any ride would be that deep. 700m is a deep hole for building foundations, whatever... I simply wondered what they're doing with it that's all. Blimey, tying to have a conversation on this site is like wading through mud.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

^I think they were referring to Jerry's post rather than yours Sue ;]

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

I know that this park was scheduled to get a 45m €15 million coaster this year, but that Parques Reunidos cancelled those plans because their parks in Italy needed more investments.

Therefore I expect this to be a not so major ride, in terms of investment.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

Sub Terra is meant to transport you underground to a secret base, although it merely drops you 6m. Looking at the level of work they've done, I think We could be looking at something similar.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

Well, we were all wrong. Dinosaur themed dark ride...

Now the bomb is finally burst - has long been wildly puzzled what the new attraction in Movie Park will be, it was a dark ride as a favorite among the tips. But who would have bet here would be left empty-handed, because the Movie Park Germany is building a world in this version unique simulator attraction. This will act on the subject of prehistory and the former about 2500 sqm Movie Magic built halls. Whole five million euros is this exciting adventures, including modern film and animation technology as well as more complex scenes, free.

But we go a little one on the history of the attraction: In the depths of Movie Park is a Unrzeit-world in which a mysterious ancient temple was discovered, whose inhabitants are several thousand years old. The future passengers to meet a world-famous archaeologist, which can then be shown on a thrilling expedition to underground excavations. Out of the blue the visitors lose but then the trace of the archaeologists and are now on their own in a nerve-wracking bailout.
Overall, the attraction will feature two expedition buses, each offering for 30 people. Another central element is a 23 meters long and elliptical canvas on which the Special Effects "Made in Hollywood" for grandiose effects and open mouths will make.

"We combine 4-D effects and a 360-degree screen. In the so-called Immersive tunnel (see picture above), the boundaries between fact and fiction, so that visitors have the feeling to be in the middle and experience the adventure with all the senses, "says park manager Wouter Dekkers. For the creative conception is supported by the film company RIVA Digital created which already world hits like Pirates of the Caribbean animated. An opening date of the facility was not yet disclosed, but according to statements by Wouter Dekkers end of March at the latest, the individual projects of the international team assembled into a whole.
With this new attraction makes Movie Park Germany continues its title as the film park all honor, because what goes better in a movie park as an attraction, in the canvas as a central element serves. We are pleased at least on this new piece of jewelry that will make small and large guests fun.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

So its Kong 360. That attraction was pretty damn cool at Universal Hollywood, good addition to any park...if the animation is done right.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

Loads of new concept art is now online, the queue and pre shows look amazing...

So I think it looks fantastic but I'm concerned that the actual queue and preshows will be far superior to the actual ride experience. Wait and see I guess.

Re: Movie Park, Germany, new 2014 ride

I have a love-hate attitude towards concept art. Rarely does the final project look like the artwork. Concept art is used to sell something so it's always going to be spectacular - as it is in this instance. I'd wager that the final outcome won't look as good if cheap materials and labourers are used. I've never been to Movie Park Germany so I can't comment on their existing themed rides but I'm sure it'll look acceptable.
