Plop! In the name of love!

Love is in the air for Mack coasters on Saturday 15th February 2025! We will be meeting up on this date for an official CoasterForce Live at Plopsaland De Panne.

So, what's de panne for the day?

Meet up: 9.30am by the small, subtle door outside the park entrance. It's quite easy to miss, so I've included a photo here:

From here, we will enter the park for 10am opening and enjoy all the delights Plopsa has to offer: the spectacular Ride To Happiness, the punchy Anubis and the T-Rexcellent Dino Splash, amongst others.

As usual, there will be quizzes, games, activity packs and a variety of sugary snacks to pass the time in the (expectedly minimal) queues.

According to the website, all rides are expected to be open on this day (weather permitting)

Please arrange your own park entry ticket / transport / accommodation.

Let's put the Happiness into 'Happy New Year' and kick off the 2025 theme park season Plopsa-style!

Please let me know if you are coming!

I've just been doing some research and it's a bit of a pain to get to via transport, so if anyone is driving and could give me a lift that would be amazing! I would pay you back for petrol money.

I'm also up for this, puns and all. If I have to do a maddening car-less transport then so be it but a lift would be fantastic here too. I'm based a bit above London.

Still debating this but it's increasingly likely I won't be able to attend. It seems difficult to get there and now I'm having possibly expensive car shenanigans as well.

I've booked flights so I'm definitely coming now, after consideration I have decided against driving and thought I would make a weekend of it and see some of Ghent and maybe Bruges. I don't have my new passport yet but I'm 99% sure I'll have it in time.

Probably going to stay in Ghent as I can get a direct train to DePanne.

What are people's plans looking like in terms of where they're staying and when they're arriving? I was planning on staying in De Panne and arriving in the evening on the 14th, it would be nice to go for dinner or a drink that evening if people fancy it.

I'm coming down on the 14th as well but staying in Ghent as the trains to/from DePanne stop running after 9pm and I don't land at Charleroi until 6pm, but would be up for meeting if anyone is nearby.

I'll need to see where I am in the country closer to the date. It's a shame no other nearby parks are open then to make a longer trip more worthwhile.

After a visit to the park I'd always recommend a visit to the Westvleteren abbey / brewery /cafe In de vrede. It's just a short drive from park and has world famous beer (and nice cheese too). It should be open after the park closes.

We arrive in De Panne on the evening on the 14th, it'd be great to meet up for food / drinks that evening :)

I try not to drink so much these days, but if there is one thing I make an exception for it's Belgian beer!
