Legoland Korea | Ninjago Coaster | 2025

Plenty of action in Korea lately. First new RMC steel track on T Express, then a Raptor showing up at Gyeongju World, and now the very young Legoland Korea is moving forwards with its first post-opening day attraction.

Two things have happened very suddenly; a ceremonious groundbreaking was held for their second Ninjago attraction, following up on the chain's very popular dark ride. Park officials have credited it with receiving the highest ridership in the park, so more Ninjago makes sense.

Then construction walls go up and tease some very explicit Tri-tube track, piquing all of our interests;

What we know;
  • 20 billion won ($14.8 million) investment (more than Minifugure Speedway, less than Mythica Wing Coaster)
  • 2,644 square meters of land (roughly around the same size of Minifigure Speedway, but less than the Dragon)
  • Park officials have referred to it as one of the most thrilling Legoland coasters to date
  • Therefore, right size and budget for a mid-size family thrill coaster
  • Given that it's Ninjago it's most likely going to be placed north of the dark ride as seen below;

Merlin has been continuing their impressive investment streak, given everything happening at Legoland parks across the board right now this will be nice to watch.

Say, the now-vacant site of the Viking rapids in Legoland Windsor is awfully close to the existing Ninjago area. Don't suppose they might be planning for whatever they build here to have an equivalent over here? (I'm betting on a spinning coaster btw, just theme the vehicles to shurikens and you're done)

The rumblings are that it's a Turbulence clone. Which would fit the land area.

Take that with a pinch of salt however.
It would be an odd choice. Korea already has a Turbulence clone.
