Launch coaster speed variations

Why do accelerator coasters vary in speed each time they launch?

Do LSM launches also vary in speed?

I'd say for various reasons:

1. Weight of train
2. Horsepower variations
3. Weather

And those things which I have no idea about.

I don't think LSM's vary in speed though.
