I rode it on Sunday and it seemed a lot smoother and enjoyable than the rides I had on it in August (I think) last year.

Ride it towards the front and get the hangtime through the loop and cobra roll. I'm not a fan of hangtime, but I loved the way I felt I was being pushed through the inversions and not just going through the motions.

It's my fave SLC that I've had the pleasure of riding.

No SLC is **** in my opinion. They may be rough, and most of them are the same, but they still offer an immensely fun ride.

Shenlins look quite fun too, however I have never ridden one... yet.

Kumali looks pretty... I like its Vekoma-ness :--D

I love the first drop, and the inversions are good too, the helix is also fun, it also has one of the top 5 catchiest theme tunes of any ride in the UK in my opinion, first being Inferno :p

The only problem I have with the ride is it's length, needs to be a bit longer really, and with a drop like that, you could expect a couple more banks or/and inversions.

As for Kumali, brilliant first drop, great inversions, faster and pulls more G-forces then the likes of Nemesis, and has a cool paint job! Even though the second half of the ride seems like a case of just getting back to the station, I like it :)

All you have to do now is actually ride it Mark

In my opinion, you can only put down a coaster maker and/or coaster model when you've made a better coaster yourself. However, people are allowed opinions. Therefore, I do not agree with people when they say that any SLC is "<img>", even the Shenlins like Kumali, because they're not. They may be rough, boring, generic and cloned, but they're still fun. And the custom layouts are brilliant. Still hate them? don't bother riding them then, free up the queue lines for people who appreciate them.

Okay, so I'd already written this off as utter drivel, but:

Means you were speaking BS!
I reasonably enjoyed Kumali, it was a good, fun ride with the only let down being that it was a bit rough.
Oh and I loved the song that was playing in the station! :)

I'm still allowed to have an opinion aren't I?

Not this opinion, no:

Unless you have been on the coaster, you cannot have an opinion on how great it is. I'm sure that Loefet also has G-Force readings for both and can actually prove it doesn't pull more G's (having been on both, I KNOW Kumali doesn't even come close).

Opinion of "it looks good" is fine, but you posted the above making your opinion from the stance of somebody who has been on the ride. If you have, and that's your opinion, then fine.

If you haven't been on it though, then you have to make it very clear. Once you have maybe 200 coasters under your belt, people may take your opinions seriously based on your experience, but even then it's not something people will accept as a valid opinion - only when you've been on a ride can you really have this kind of opinion.

I've done three SLC's and in my opinion Kumali is the weakest. It has the worst first drop (of the three), poorly executed and weak elements and dies of very quickly. JO is in my top ten, Kumali barely breaks top thirty - I don't hate Vekoma or SLC's - I just don't really rate Kumali.

It's a fun ride, and great for Flamingoland, but it's nothing special either.

I can have this opinion because I've been on it and I have a range of other rides to compare it to. I know other people who will utterly disagree with me and that's fine - I'm happy for the debate as they have as much (often considerably more) experience than me and have been on the ride. An opinion has to come from some from some basis you can form it from. You can't have a strong opinion of how a ride rides, unless you've been on it, or been on dozens of coasters like it.

I think I've done 12 SLCs and I'd also rate Kumali the lowest. Sure, some of the standard clone ones (such as el condor and flight deck) were rougher, but the standard clone layout is much more interesting.

Kumali is rough too, and coupled with a terrible, slow layout (apart from perhaps the first drop), it's a coaster I wouldn't be bothered about riding ever again.

It's a Vekoma SLC, everyone hates them 'cos they are boring, forceless, nearly all of them are clones and they are rough as hell.

Not all are clones, but they are all rough as well. And the few Vekoma's that are not ARE boring!
I hate them, even more than Arrow.

It's a Vekoma SLC, you get what you're given.
After the good first drop, the ride does fizzle out.
It's not the best in the world, but that doesn't really matter.

It serves Flamingo Land more than it serves the rider. It makes a decent signature ride for a park which is continually improving, which can only be good news.
