^Considering most people are nodding in the general direction of a B&M for Thorpe, and the fact that the layout is essentially Colossus with added randomness, I doubt Thorpe will go for it...

LC could mean ANYTHING...

Thanks for falling into that...

Ha! I actually laughed out loud when I saw that Thorpe poster thing. Why a park would advertise a coaster soley on making one of their existing coasters looking worse is riddiculous. Breaking their own record. I don't think so.

Back on topic, I was really impressed when I first saw this. The track looks more modern Intamin, and less 'Colossus'. I think it would make an epci ride.

Its the love child of Megalite + Colossus. I think it looks alright.

And lol at the Thorpe connection!

Isn't that what everyone says when they've been disproved and not willing to admit it?

Seriously, you suggested that this would be Thorpe's new ride, I said it was unlikely to be so...

As for the offspring of Piraten & Colossus..... I'm going to need some more tissues

[No more of that. -Snoo]

I actually like Colossus so would probably enjoy this.

As for Thorpe getting it, nope. They would have to remove Colossus and I cannot see them doing that.

LC12 = Looping Coaster 12! They're gonna break their own record!

(P.S. I'm STILL not being serious (I hope))

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- should have seen it!

WOOOOOW, I did the recreation (launch and lift version) of this coaster shortly after it was printed in First Drop, and actually released it exactly 3 years ago...

And I'm pretty sure that this layout have been discussed here on CF before...

I think it's even worse than Collosus! Corkscrews are pretty crap elements in my book, atleast with the barrel rolls you're going slow enough to realise what is happening.

Silly question but ive not used NL for ages..

Is the white background shot done using a custom environment? or is it an option?

It's The White environment, which is an environment someone made a few years back that makes everything white to make your ride stand out.

Yeah, I've noticed it used a lot in Town Planning stuff at work too. In that instance it helps show everything that will be new. I think its a kinda cool technique actually.

I wonder whether anyone will actually buy this coaster. I doubt very much it would be a UK park which is a bugger, but I imagine somewhere is a park dying to grab a world record...

The only part of colossus I actually like is the excessive quad-roll. It's a cool visual effect, and I'd take it over a load of corkscrews (the worst inversions IMO). Even a double loop instead of an extra corkscrew would be better surely?

Intamin needs to use elements that aren't overused. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a dive loop or an immelmann (hell even a batwing) over a couple extra corkscrews.

This is Intamin we are talking about, I'm absolutely certain they could have figured out how to incorporate a different inversion type in there if they weren't so obsessed with fitting more corkscrews in there....
