IAAPA Expo 2024

What's unique about this screaming swing gondola vs any other one 🤔

Also sounds like SeaWorld Orlando has confirmed they're getting a Mack Flying Theater ride for next year. Keeping the arctic dark ride count going! https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/ne...ith-mack-rides-for-flying-theater/ar-AA1uqB4l

I'll be there tomorrow! I wanted to hit the floor today but stupid work that pays the stupid bills got in the way. Tomorrow starts my vacation and I'm not due back until mid December....but before my ship sets sail this weekend, I'll still have a chance for a quick IAAPA 24 visit ❤️
I'll post random stuffs on Twit-X 🤷‍♂️

Day 2 was a blast indeed, had front seats at the press conferences for WhiteWater and Polin, they’ve treated us like royalty even though I’m a student from a waterpark background and not press. Lots of merch, Turkish Delight, Turkish Coffee, cake, champagne, and time to talk with the manufacturers. Many of them were willing to speak with me at length, very productive conversations. I’ve learned many things that unfortunately cannot be shared here at this time.

Moser set up their drop tower today with a standup seat, it will be ready tomorrow.

^ yep

Looks like this video in the follow-up tweet is also posted (separately) in the subsequent tweet by Planet Attractions

EDIT : YT link for that POV (in the middle of a longer Zamperla video with a lot of offride renders);

Anyone else noticed this was the exact ride layout that CF pitched for several parks earlier this year?

...annddd....it wasn't 🤦‍♂️
So as fate would have it the ride is broken broken. Moser explained that the crane operator at 2am had damaged a wheel at the top, allowing the cable to go slack. They have no spare parts and while they could run it without, no company is desperate enough to risk an accident on the show floor.

My personal highlights today were the Big Canadian Breakfast and Brogent’s press conference. We had a presentation on Therme Canada at the former, which is targeting a 2029 debut and 22 slides on reserve from WhiteWater West. Everything was frankly nice and dandy until the Q&A, in which the CEO had to step around a question I had regarding the political controversies at home. The attendee’s definitely noticed it and those conversations continued well onto the show floor. Some of their numbers also weren’t making sense, particularly attendance projections, and the vibe is while optimism is casual everyone’s picked up on a few concerns.

Brogent was much smoother, a flying theatre was officially announced for my home turf of Niagara Falls and I will be able to tour it during construction this winter. Very much looking forwards to that project.

Cryptic hints time because I’m not spoiling much, more ride deals were happening today. I’ve picked up particularly on one notable family coaster project close to being signed off for an American park nobody has on their radar. There’s also some dark clouds floating around because a very high profile and complex new attraction and it’s attached company are doing an X2 right now; if you know then you know.
