How many pancakes did you eat?

Another uninspiring +1 topic from yours truly. When I have more time, I'll start a decent one, I promise. Although I did do that enclosed coasters one earlier. Anyway, I'm rambling.

How many pancakes did you eat today?

No need to be all technical about it, like "my frying pan is massive so one pancake is actually two regular sized ones" as nobody cares. Let's find out who the fattest bastard of them all is.

I managed four, topped with Jif (not Cif ) lemon and sugar.

What about normal things to eat every day, like slices of bread?

Anyway, none. We had it for dinner last Friday, though.

I actually ate eight whole pancakes over the course of several hours. In fairness they were the pre-made packaged ones from Tesco (none of that scotch-pancake bollocks, real ones) as they were on special offer (8 for £1) when I was getting my lunch. I was also eating them doubled up, so putting the filling in-between two whole pancakes as it was less effort.

Topped off with strawberries, maple syrup and lemon juice.

Yummy!

None. I have never eaten pancakes on pancake day and I actually find them quite dull and boring, so rarely have them anyway.

I had a couple the other day though as we only had eggs, flour and milk in the house and it had to be used up otherwise we'd starve. That sounds familiar...

It's Shrove Tuesday; the start of Lent, and so everybody makes pancakes (crepes) to get rid of the eggs, milk and sugar...etc to begin the fast...
Apart from how Christianity is a load of rubbish and most people eat pancakes on this day because they can't be bothered to make them at any other time in the year!

As for me, I've eaten none because I haven't been bothered to make any, and I haven't got a mixer anyway.

None. We only eat pancakes on the weekends when the wife doesn't have to go to work. Christine & I each eat 4 & Aidan downs a half dozen. I eat mine smothered in butter with maple syrup, while the kid & wife eat theirs with whipped cream.

I love how all the supermarkets were selling pancake mix in them bottles, and they rip you off, it's like a con, I looked a t the ingredience and it's liek powdered egg and flour, some only had flower in :L Its just you don't have to measure the flour or mix it :lol:

Two pancakes for me. My housemate's boyfriend made a huge pile of them for seven of us and then we had a mass eating session. It was nice to actually see my housemates for once.

I dislike pancakes and they give me a migraine. So I had an omelette instead, which also gives me a migraine, but I do love them

I made six though and the other members of family_furie had two each. Minor_Furie had Nutella, madame_Furie and Maxi-minor_Furie both had ice cream and tinned summer fruits.

Just to pad things out and all that, I know Ian is very interested in our pancake eating habits for his book "Pancakes and Coaster Nerds".

After thinking about it I'm not much of a fan of pancake day pancakes either. Gimme those toaster scotch pancakes with enough chocate spread to enduce a sugar coma or the pancakes I had in New York, I fapped to them.
