Results and Analysis
Manufacturers...
1. B&M (5 coasters) - Didn't realize I had this many B&Ms in my top 15! Even though Intamin is my favorite manufacturer, B&M is close behind - I have a soft spot for their best old-school (plus some of their new-school) coasters, they're extremely well engineered and just all-around pleasant to ride.
2. Intamin (4 coasters) - My top manufacturer. Intensity is my favorite aspect of a coaster, but I also love whippy transitions, rampant pacing and most significantly sustained ejector airtime, which every Intamin in my top 10 excels at. I'm incredibly eager to ride Pantheon and VelociCoaster as soon as humanly possible.
3. RMC (2 coasters) - Of the 6 RMCs I've ridden, only 2 made it into my top 15, but everything else besides Jersey Devil is firmly within the top 30. The lack of RMCs in my top 15 is likely because I haven't gotten around to riding their best yet (besides Lightning Rod, but over the years, it's ran very inconsistently for me), though that'll hopefully change with Steel Vengeance and Iron Gwazi this year.
The rest (1 coaster) - Schwarzkopf, Gravity Group, PTC, In-House
Types...
Wooden (4 coasters) - I've grown a fondness for wooden coasters over the years, especially ones with loads of charm and a beautiful secluded setting (looking at you, Voyage, Phoenix and Beast). Though that's not the only reason I love them - they've got powerful airtime or an endlessly long, relentless layout too.
Hyper (3 coasters) - I really enjoy sustained airtime, especially sustained ejector, and my favorite hypers deliver it in droves. Along with that, Skyrush is one of the most intense and wild coaster layouts ever designed, so...
Multi-looping (3 coasters) - Nothing's wrong with positive G-loaded inversions and a mostly smooth, long ride in my opinion - plus, Mindbender has one of the craziest (and best) first drops I've ever ridden.
Giga (2 coasters) - A super tall lift, blazing fast speeds and my favorite coaster drop of all time/flojector airtime or insane amounts of whip/greyout-level positive Gs (depending on the coaster) make for highly memorable and top-tier rides. Even Millennium Force is at the edge of my top 20, it's still a lot of fun with some fantastic views and very solid, sustained floater to flojector airtime.
The rest (1 coaster) - Single Rail, Hybrid, Blitz
