I'm not talking kiddy 25 piece ones, I'm talking the 1000+ piece bad boys.

We've had to find ways to entertain ourselves at work lately as we're getting about 6 hours free time a day, we got a few jigsaws from the charity shop for £1-£1.50 and they're so mentally challenging its unbelievable.

We've been stuck on the same 1500 piece one since Monday because we're just left with all sky  so all blue pieces. Its broke a lot of people, the anger it releases is insane haha!

Have you ever done one, I think its one of them things that everyone knows what they are but most don't bother doing them lol.

Yeah several, they are a pretty good pass time if you don't have anything else to do.

Yeah I like a good jigsaw. Haven't done one in a while though. It's just finding the time and a space where it won't get in the way of everything else.
The last one I did was 550 double sided puzzle of sweets. One side was all Smarties which was hard and the other side was all gummy sweets and stuff.

The 3D ones are awesome as well and I've made Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Eiffel Tower and the leaning tower of Pisa(sp?) out of them. :)

Yeah, I once had one of those "impossipuzzles." It had spaghetti on both sides, but the reverse was turned 90 degrees. Was really quite frustrating and I ended up using trial and error. It took me about three weeks!

Not done one for years though (aside from baby ones when I've been round my freinds-with-babies houses).

I've done a few. I had a thousand piece Lion King puzzle and a couple of random puzzles too.
I wanna try out them 3D ones, they look good though I don't fancy spending 30 quid on them.

Charity shops! <3

I remember one as a kid, where we had to use the dining room table to construct it (it was large). Unfortunatley it meant eating our dinner off our laps but it was worth it!

I used to do jigsaws when I was younger and loved them. I am one of the really annoying people who walk into someones house and jumpstraight in, 'helping'.

Whenever I used to go round to my grandparents house as a child I used to sit and do puzzles with my nan, she has like a massive wardrobe full of puzzles and thats not including the ones she finished, put on board and stuck up in the guest bedroom. I used to love puzzles but I haven't done one in years.

My nan has the dice version of impossipuzzle, I think she gave up on it :p

I did a 3,000 piece one with my dad a few years back. That took a few months working on it on and off before mom got sick of it taking up our dining room table. That was a lot of fun, though-- I wouldn't mind doing another one someday.

Yeah, I've done a few. I don't really find them that boring, but we don't have any really big-ass mother-****ers in our house so I can only do them at my Nana's house.

They're nothing else to do there!

If you really want to mix it up, mix three 1000+ piece jigsaws together. That's difficult.

I have done absolutely loads of jigsaws ranging from 30 pieces to 2000 pieces.

I went through a mad phase when I was about 10/11 of just doing countless jigsaws, one after the other.

Only one has ever stumped me and that was this white building, me and my mum had constructed about 3/4 of it and the white was virtually impossible to fit in, so we just broke it up and took it to a charity shop.

Since the addition of my cat, it has become increasingly hard to do jigsaws. As soon as he sees a box on the table, he flies in there and stays in there pretty much all the time. He bites your fingers if you try and get a piece out the box and if they're on the table, he'll bat them away.

The last one I done was in January which was one I got for christmas consisting of a lot of kittehs.

I don't think I have ever done one that was more than 20 pieces.

In other news, I lack patience. :p

well..

When i said i have done loads... My mum child minds and i help them with thier '4 peice' puzzels lol

Does that count? (It was actually surprisingly hard - one patch of cream fur looks very much like another)... Might do a coaster one next :?
I do the odd one when I'm bored - rarely more than about 400 pieces though... and I'm very bored this week, so this topic may actually cause me to buy one tomorrow :--D Really wanted the Corkscrew one they had at the museum on its closing day...
