So RCDB now have the name "Freedom Fighter" for this, and it is now due to open next June.

And for those who don't know, it's going to be a clone of Kvasten at Grona Lund:

I thought this coaster was to built in the part II expansion around 2015?

^ It was originally planned for 2014, but according to RCDB, it's been brought forward to next June.

^Nah, Kvasten's actually quite fun for a family coaster. Part of that is down to location and theming, but this will be decent enough.

I hate the name though. So "U.S.A! U.S.A!"

I'm surprised it's not being painted red, white and blue to be honest.

Thought I would go ahead & re-post the Freedom Flyer section of my Fun Spot expansion construction report here for those only interested in the park's suspended coaster. More info can also seen in the videos at the top of my main report:
http://www.coasterforce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=35286&&start=10.

A couple of things I would like to mention to start are that RCDB has the name wrong - it's Freedom Flyer, not Freedom Fighter (as Martyn corrected in the topic's title). This is also the only one of it's kind in the Americas & the second one in the world to be built (Kvasten at Gröna Lund being the first).

All photos were taken over a two day period, with the first day being taken from around the park perimeter & the second day closeups taken during Mark's construction tour.

Lots of photos of Freedom Flyer's supports & track.

Since 2006 Chance & Vekoma have worked together to build three suspended family coasters under license in the U.S. market. This one will be the last under that license agreement, but Chance Rides will continue to provide spare parts & technical service for all the rides built together with Vekoma.

It's interesting to see this is having evac staircases put on the lift when Kvasten doesn't. Something to do with differing H&S laws?

^Probably has more to do with this one being built by Chance & the one at Gröna Lund by Vekoma.

As I explained in my photo report on the previous page (directly above the TPR photos Martyn posted), this is the last of the four Vekoma family suspended coasters to be built by Chance Rides in the USA under the licensing agreement between the two companies. So yes - it's a Vekoma coaster, but it's being built & maintained by Chance.
The others under the agreement are similarly built.
