^Really? I found it quite dire. Good for views, but nothing much more. I'd like to ride a new model where you face outwards, even better views then!
I remember they only ran it half way up for like it's last year of operation, claiming it was always "too windy" to take it to the top. Hmm, never a problem before, but that rust at the top of the tower looks mighty nasty!
To be honest, they aren't that bad nowadays (probably because they realised it's cheaper to maintain rides then leave them and have to buy a new one) but Pleasure Island used to be so crap at keeping rides. They would be so good new, then they'd leave them to rot. Nowadays the only one I really moan about is Alakazam, that ride should have been looked after a bit more. It seems to have less than half it's 'carriges' operating nowadays.
