Fire burns down shed at Cedar Point

A fire in a maintenance building near the Power Tower, Corkscrew and Super Himalaya rides occurred yesterday evening about 8:30. The building is a write off.

The rides were closed as a precaution.

Three firemen were injured. No staff or visitors were in any danger.

I can't find anything to suggest the rides are still closed.

I love how just because this happened at CP, it's posted and commented on. Had if have happened at a smaller park, I doubt we'd give a ****!

Seriously though must have been a big fire to injure 3 fireman, I'm sure CP have the resources to replace a shed though.

Blue streak is one of the few rides there I'd wanna save. Mean streak on the other hand? ... I only wish It had burnt it down.

Nothing wrong with Blue Streak.. Mean Streak is kinda whack but yah, why would you wanna burn Blue Streak? It saved the park back in the day, after all.
