Djurs Sommerland to add new kiddie coaster for 2018

The park have announced a kiddie coaster and carousel with a dragon theme (to fit in with Drage Kongen) for 2018.

Just pointing out that in the Scandinavian languages, the meaning of the word "karusell" can be a little ambiguous. Directly translated, it means "carousel" or "merry-go-round", but it is often used by non-savvy people to refer to any type of flat ride in general. These guys may be using the term right, but it's hard to tell because everyone else keeps misusing it.

Then again, if it's a family flat ride, it probably doesn't stray too far from the direct meaning. I doubt it will have more than one axis of spin, or if it does, at most it'll be a teacups ride.

Yes, they're adding more to their new area and I think it looks quite nice.
The kiddie coaster is a Zierer Force 0 and the carousel ( ) is a Crazy Bus from Zamperla.
The idea is that there is this small village, that is protected by a dragon (enter DrageKongen).

We have been allowed to share some cool concept art on CoasterClub Denmark's FB page as well as some pictures from the Zierer factory of some kiddie coaster trains that gives "Den Vilde Hønsejagt" a serious run for it's money:

Are they going to finish the theming on DrageKongen's station? I found the blue walls they have right now very ugly.

Well, the blue walls is actually part of the design, although I agree that they turned out to be a bit too much. I think it's an easy fix though.

I thought the blue walls were just unfinished. Hopefully they do something about them as it sticks out a lot. The new area looks quite nice though!

Totally forgot to share this, but I visited the park a couple of weeks ago and the new area looks really nice. The two new rides compliment DrageKongen well.
