Disney's Hollywood Studios Parade Removal

News is coming in today that Disney's Hollywood Studios is getting rid of their Disney Channel Rocks show and Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun parade, and replacing them with... utterly nothing!

We regularly and carefully review the entertainment offerings in our parks and make adjustments as part of our normal course of business. As a result, the last performance of the Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun Parade and Disney Channel Rocks! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be Saturday, April 6.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to offer numerous other shows for Guests, including Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!, Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage and the newly updated Disney Junior – Live on Stage!.

We regularly and carefully review the entertainment offerings in our parks and make adjustments as part of our normal course of business.

What will happen to the Cast Members in Pixar Pals and Disney Channel Rocks?
Most of the affected Cast Members will be moved to other locations. The cast of singers from Disney Channel Rocks will have opportunities to audition for other roles.

Is a new parade being developed for Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
Although we are not adding a new parade at this time, we are always evaluating and refining our offerings and considering new ideas to build upon Disney stories.

Are more entertainment offerings closing at the other Walt Disney World Parks?
No additional changes are planned at this time.

We continue to offer many other popular attractions and shows throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios for you to enjoy.

What will happen to the Cast Members in Pixar Pals and Disney Channel Rocks?
Most of the affected Cast Members will be moved to other locations. The cast of singers from Disney Channel Rocks will be down the job centre signing on the following monday.

Yeah my Twitter feed was going mad over this. I liked the Pixar parade, not sure why they're getting rid of it. Maybe it's so they have a bigger budget to put into the new shows rumoured for the theatres in the park?

Still, weird whatever way you look at it.
 
THANK GOD. Hearing that, "I just wanna play on the drum all day I just wanna play on the drum all day" 10x in childish voice in line for Star Tours was complete torture. I watched the parade in the line for Star Tours and the parade it self was cheesy (then again that's the definition of WDW away from AK) and boring. WORST.PARADE.EVER. Sorry for people that liked it but this is just my own opinion.
