Delfinexpressen, Vekoma Junior Coaster for Kolmården

Another new ride for Sweden for next year.

This time it's the big Swedish zoo/safari park called Kolmården, they are expanding their area with some other attractions to be able to give a more complete package to compete with other big attractions in Sweden.

The ride is going to be called Delfinexpressen (The Dolphin Express).
It will be a Standard Vekoma Junior Coaster (335m).
Which means that it will be 335 m long and 13 m tall and thrill riders with speeds up to 50 km/h.

Kind of you to post links that only us two can read. Interesting reading, by the way. A family coaster is a nice addition to a zoo, though I can't see Kolmgården doing a Flamingoland and rush on with coasters.

Still, 3G on a junior ride is quite a bit, isn't it?

While you're at it, check Skara Sommarland too. The other article stated that they would get a coaster too. However, chances are that it's just another Junior ride.

And I'm waiting for TusenFryd to announce their new area. Something I bet they won't do until late March.
 
^ There isn't many other colours that go well with an aquatic theme, so what did you expect :)

What a cute little ride. It's a shame that the best coasters Vekoma seem to make are their Junior coasters.
 
Reminds me of the Backyardigans: Mission to Mars coaster at Movie Park Germany, the colour scheme is very close. Should look better with a bit more landscaping underneath.

I agree with Hixee their junior coasters are great fun.
 
It's been open since May and there are no new photos on RCDB. I'm assuming that it's so unremarkable, it's not worth taking photos of?

Dolphins got boring with Echo.

No landscaping. No atmosphere. There's a semi-expensive roller coaster in the middle of a clearing.

Quite remarkable but not one that I'd rush to ride.
 
The most marketable thing about this coaster is how boring it is.

A bear would have made a better theme in those surroundings than a dolphin.
