How enjoyable are woodies to build? I have never built a serious one.
How much of a pain-in-the-arse are woody custom supports to use?
I fancy building a Sci-Fi themed Woodie.

If you are referring to legit wood supports (as opposed to the wood overhaul), they are indeed a tedious endeavor but (in my opinion) very rewarding in the end. Your wood coaster will look so much better than you could have imagined before. Plus it's great because you can get creative with the support structure like give it a tapered structure on hills or create great head-choppers.

If that's the case I will drop out cause this is all I have time to make due to x mas new years work load. And a wedding in 5 months my life is full

Worth entering anyway.
They've been objective in the past with regards to my entries. As long as the riders don't get murdered it's fine.

I don't see any reason why this concept is a problem for the comp. Sure, it's out of the box (like much of what you do scw55) but if it's well executed, I personally won't take issue with it. If it feel wrong when I ride it, that could be an issue but I don't foresee that with the wood invert. Albeit the theme is Intamin vs B&M, we didn't set any rule saying it needs to be something that's been done before or that it needs to even be fully realistic. You (scw55) have really progressed since Dragonfly/Damselfly where we were talking about something painful, now your creations are artful while maintaining a level of realism. Then again, there are times when realism can be thrown completely out the window...but it's gotta be really abstract for me to like it at that point :p

[Edit: After watching the POV, I think this coaster concept was executed very well. Also, which trees are those?!]

I find the aesthetic captivating.
It feel like it's in the same vein of thinking as the concept of "Steampunk".

A universe where x technology didn't exist, so society decided to develop the existing technology as far as they could. In this case it feels very 'vintage' and yet also modern. A romanticism.

A Paradox ;-)

Oxymoron might be more appropriate.
I see the coaster as something which may exist in a world where Steel-Coasters never became popular and Woodies became king.

Wood-Punk if you were.
It's the twinkly lights that make it special. I normally personally hate humanity, but the lights add to the whole 'atmosphere' of the ride.

^I was jokingly making a reference to the name deathfearsnone gave to it...and I don't see "Oxymoron" as a coaster name that rolls off the tongue ;-)

Somehow this coaster reminds me of the game Thomas Was Alone. A post-apocalyptic-type world where you never really know what is coming next. Elegant yet perfectly simplistic.

But Oxymoron is more accurate :p

A White Raven.
A Wooden Suspended Coaster.
