Death at Phantasialand

Looks like a maintenance guy has died during scheduled maintenance on Winjas:

By the sounds of the article, he was under the elevator lift when it came down on him, not a nice way to die at all.... All thoughts are with his family at this time.

Ouch, that's horrendous. Why wasn't the power locked off?

Have no idea on that, perhaps the maintenance people were wanting to ensure the lifts worked in person? Why he'd be stood underneath it though, I wouldn't know.
