Do you mean like the "stall" on Wicked Cyclone? I thought that was a fun element.Another angle on the lazy girlfriend tossed from bed element. Notice how only two ledgers are completely horizontal? This thing barely qualifies as a stall in my book, more like a screwy cutback or something.
I couldn't figure out why on earth it would take until 2018 to build this thing...but then it struck me...maybe it's because they are building the second circuit AROUND the main circuit AFTER that circuit is complete! What if they are going to build the next part of this dueler AFTERWARDS!? It would run it's own 3 loop circuit around the same structure and all the while be a completely separate "but same" ride?! Hence "THEY'RE coming"!!!!
I'm weak. This makes everyone else happy in the pants.:emoji_laughing:Is it too late to guess what RMC's naming the elements?
I think the girlfriend element will be called a "Step Down 180* Stall".
The first inversion, of course, is "Alan Makes Intamin Sad in the Pants".
Better than any theroy I could come up with.Hello I just joined the site today, and it's mostly because I wanted to share my theory on what's about to happen wit the new Mean Streak at Cedar Point.
A Little history on myself since I'm new here.
*I grew up in East Lansing, Michigan. As anyone from Michigan will tell you, our favorite vacation spot growing up is of course, Cedar Point. I was 6 years old when the Iron Dragon opened and remember it scaring the absolute crap out of me
*I have lived in Los Angeles since graduating university, so I've been here since 2005.
*Me new home park is of course, Six Flags, Magic Mountain.
*I still fly to Ohio every time a new ride opens for a Cedar Point trip
*Cedar Point > Magic Mountain all day everyday
*That said, Magic Mountain is easily my second favorite thrill park
*I've been on over 160 unique coasters in my lifetime.
*Twisted Colossus is my current #1 and Maverick is still my current #2
All of this said: I think what we are looking at here based on the video Cedar Point released TODAY, is the world's very first Triple Track Racing Coaster!
Sure, my theory is likely wrong, but it's a fairly simple one, and I base it on their ridiculous precision with timing. Twisted Colossus is the most unique and exhilarating coaster I've ever been on, but a big part of that is because they somehow managed to time it to race itself on a closed loop track, and it's amazing.

OBVIOUSLY my theory is 100% incorrect lolololol, but this would be my dream coaster if that's what this turned out to be. The wood is there, the infrastructure is in place, the timetable fits, and most importantly, it's all I pray about every night <3
Anyway, has a great night everybody and nice to meet you all
Yes, I love that element too! It's pure zero-g floater bliss just like that upwards roll is going to be! However, I don't really think "stall" is the right word for it.Tons of good photos, and from angles from which I've not seen the construction site. Thank you.

I'm holding out hope that it might go bonkers in Lap 3 and have a stall within the support structure :emoji_fingers_crossed::emoji_fingers_crossed:
