Can I have your Autograph?

So yeah, I thought that since people go to events where there's these like widely known people there and thus they get all weird and want to own a thing that has their name scribbled illegibly on it. I wanna know if you anyone else has **** that has been signed by like, Film people, Music people, Authors and other stuff.

All I got is a Signed copy of Grandville Mon Amour that my parents had to get for me cause of a migraine T-T.

He drew in it as well, which is cool. :3

So does anyone have anything actually interesting?

I have nothing remotely interesting. I have a signed The Qemists CD, a signed Kate McGill CD and somewhere I have a signed VHS of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace signed by the guy who played Darth Maul. I also have a load of football player signatures stashed somewhere - mainly ex-MK Dons players, so nothing too exciting.

To be honest, I don't really seek to get signatures. I've met quite number of "famous" people and just to talk to them about their work is enough for me. Obviously, if my career path takes me places, I'll get to meet a whole bunch of really famous people, but as I'll be working with them, I daren't badger them to sign my posters, DVDs and crap...unless it's Chris Nolan.

I am the proud owner of a signed photo of Bette Davis from the 1940s. And no, it's not a recent E-bay rip off; it was bought years ago from a reputable dealer and has been fully authenticated by a third party.

I've also got a signed tit print by Annie Sprinkle. She's a former prostitute/porn star turned performance artist. I wrote my uni dissertation on her, and when I contacted her during writing it, she sent me a painting of a penis that she'd made with her tits.

I used to be one of those fools that would wait for hours outside the film premières in London because I was silly. It meant I got to briefly meet a lot of awesome actors and directors. I think my most notable autograph I've got (hidden amongst my stash somewhere) is Tim Burton, I actually got to meet him twice, he's awesome. Obviously where there's a Tim Burton there's a Helena. :p

My uncle once purchased a signed photo of Uma Thurman for me, bit random but it's cool.

Once I started working in the industry though I was meeting actors, directors and producers on a regular basis so it became the norm for me to be meeting them and therefore my little obsession with autographs ceased to be.

I never really got anything by band people signed apart from a card signed by Electric Six :p

I have the entire 93-94 Houston Rockets NBA championship team signed jersey. As well as several Angels players. The jersey now is worth upwards of $500, but it will be something I never get rid of. I also have Derrick Thomas' who is my favorite player of all time, that one means the most.

Most my signed stuff is from Derren Brown. :p

Enigma programme and his first book:

Then when I saw Svengali last year he signed my programme and ticket...

...and his newest book.

And of course I had to have another photo taken with him. :p

Other celebs I've got autographs from include Andy Nyman (Derrens co-writer and from Severance, Dead Set and the play Ghost Stories)
247131_2126050787917_1145311439_2667302_6467178_n.jpg

And I got a signed leaflet when I met Dave Benson Phillips (from Get Your Own Back).

Funny thing with Andy was that he talks and presents himself like Derren so I asked him who copied who and he said Derren copied him. So after we met him we walked to the theatre Derren was at and showed him what he said so Derren wrote a message underneath saying something like "Not true. He copied me" and then that started a two way conversation between them in my book.

*Awaits people to make the obvious "You bum Derren Brown" and "Stalker" comments*

In another story. My dad used to have a a photo with ALL 4 signatures from The Beatles on it. They'd signed their first and last names as well. Then his sister (who's a teacher) took it into school to show her class and it got stolen.
So annoying. Can't imagine how much it'd be worth now and how much it'll be worth once all 4 Beatles are dead.

I've got a few signed theatre programs lying around, most importantly Sheridan Smith signed my Legally Blonde one <3<3<3 and Daniel Boys <3<3<3<3 signed my Avenue Q one. <3 Daniel <3

Also, Allan McNish signed me a picture of his car <3

I'm not massively into signatures, I prefer photos. Sadly, my photos with the above three all make me look like a massively ugly and deformed virgin <//3

When I touched Helena Bonham Carter, I was too busy jizzing to think of getting anything to remember it by <//3

Wish I'd got something from Danny Dyer at the Dungeons <//3 But, it was kinda fab being all aloof and pretending we didn't care. Maybe it made him think we were celebs too <3

I've got four or five of my Clive Barker books signed by the man himself. Went to a book signing at Forbidden Valley in Liverpool so it was pretty easy.

I've got a demo CD somewhere too signed by all kinds of people, but I've no idea who any of them are, it just appeared in my CD collection

I've met a few famous people here and there, but other than specifically going to meet Mr Barker, I'm not fussed at all. They're just people really and I'm not into sycophanting my way after them begging for their tiniest bit of attention.

Oh, interesting topic alert!

I have signed photos of Peter Leslie and the female black presenter (Diane Jordan or something) from Blue Peter. I wrote to them in the late 80's saying I was upset at receiving a chain-mail letter from them attempting to break a world record and the only thing that would pacify my tears is signed photos and a Blue Peter badge.

Ok, now it's time to come clean. I didn't receive a chain letter, my Mum forced me to write it a fake letter. We were going to London a month later and the badge enabled free entry to some tourist attractions! Hahaha, she's a fraud but she's fab.

I have a copy of Goldfrapp's first album, Felt Moutain, signed by Alison Goldfrapp. "Dear Ian, all my love, Alison xxx". For those who can remember Richard Last/themeparkphreak, his step-autie-in-law (or some ****) is Alison Goldfrapp and I pestered his Mum for ages to get it signed and she did!

My prized signed item is an offcial B&H Masters (snooker competition) t-shirt signed by legends Stephen Hendry, Steve Davis and the late Paul Hunter. I won it in a radio competition about 8 years ago. I must get a proper frame for it. I've subsequently collected the autographs of Shaun Murphy, Marco Fu and Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Nowadays, I think photos are "worth more". Ok, not financially, but grabbing a photo next your somebody famous is worth more sentimentally. I've got a few photos of me with Matt Le Tissier and one with somebody who was on my recent connecting flight between Vegas and Atlanta...but it's too embarrassing to post on here...

And like Ben, I regret not getting a photo whilst rubbing shoulders with the famous. I wish I had one taken with Mel C at Paultons Park last year.

Soon after this, Dianne Louise Jordan pretended she was religious to get a job on Songs of Praise so in terms of fraud it all balances out. (Mind you John Leslie has barely worked since - some legal trouble, I think...)

I got Adam Lazzarra from Taking Back Sunday to sign my copy of 'Louder Now' when me and my sister won a competition to meet the band and hear a whole album way before it got released. I also got some photos taken with some band members, and got to boogie with the bassist and guitarist on the dance-floor ha!

I got all the band members of The Blackout to sign the cover of their second album, and gave the lead singer Sean Smith a Dairylea Lunchable. I probably made a tit of myself though because I was horrendously drunk :/

Lastly, I got to spend an entire day with my favourite band Funeral for a Friend so I, along with loads of others, could be part of their 'Waterfront Danceclub' video. I was epically starstruck at first, but by about halfway through the day it was just like they were a good bunch of friends. I got loads of pictures taken with them, which is nice since most bands/famous people are too up themselves to spend a decent amount of time with fans. About a year later when I was at one of their gigs I managed to catch the guitarist's pick when he threw it into the crowd...I guess it pays to be crushed up right at the front!

It's weird how nervous and panicky we can get around stars, because they're just normal humans like everyone else and from my experience they're usually really down to earth.

REBEL has mine and Ian's signature from DuMP last year when she came bounding up to us, paper in hand going "which of you is Ian from CoasterForce?" - we both signed it for her

^ Rumour has it that Rebel has it framed on her bedside table and Raybould can't climax without looking at it.

When I was a kid, I met Gladiators Saracen and Scorpio. They signed my sticker album. I doubt I've still got it. If I have, it'll be in the deepest darkest depths of my parents' loft somewhere.

I've got a signed England shirt from one of the Euro 96 warm-up matches that I won in a raffle. It's definitely got a few big names on it, but a lot of them are quite hard to make out. God knows where it is.

I've got a Tom McRae album somewhere that he signed for me when I interviewed him for Student Radio back in 2002/3. Pretty sure I've got various "Mattqualung" ones (Matt Hales from Aqualung) kicking about. I know there's one on a set list from a TV recording in '03, but can't entirely remember if it was me that took it home or someone else?! I'm fairly sure that my copy of Kid Galahad's first album was signed by the whole band too.

I can't really think of any others, but I'm sure there's more.

In terms of photos, obviously my most prized one is the photo of me and my all time hero Graham Coxon. Sue is the only one here who can testify just how obsessed I was in my teens, so just how exciting it was to get a photo.

Pretty sure there's a photo of me and Scouting for Girls kicking about somewhere, but if there is it's really bad quality. It was on the night we also met Timmy Mallett and Michaela Strachan, but I have a feeling it was taken after they'd left </3 I was quite drunk. It was a good night.

Pretty sure I never got anything from Alesha Dixon on any of the occasions that I met her. Mainly because I didn't really care. Even though she is quite fab.

I'll probably think of some more later.

Lol, they were chilling in Yates in Southampton Monday night, well random XD

I had my purse signed by one of my favourite bands Protest the Hero, who I bumped into in a diner in Camden <3

I'm not really one for gooning over celebs though.

When I was working at Tower of Terror, a little girl asked me for my autograph, and I had no idea what to put.
I think I just did my first name a bit squigly, and then wrote something else. :p

Do you mean Forbidden Planet and had a slip, or is there actually a Forbidden Valley in Liverpool...?
