Had it confirmed to me recently that Camelot never owned Knightmare - it was hired from a London-based company. Presumably said company can now no longer find another park dumb enough to take it on.
Well, did anyone notice some of Knightmare's track in the brakerun was missing in that video?
I suppose I can probably keep dreaming...
It's so saddening (and downright creepy) to see it get into such a state. It's even sadder to see such awful, and very much deliberate, vandalism - just, seriously, what is the point?
Best way to stop people climbing Knightmare is to relocate it to another park and renovate it! Seriously though I hope it happens, it doesn't look like a coaster that would set the world on fire but it seems pretty cool and for the UK it would be great.
I've always thought it looks like a great family thrill ride. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go to Lightwater valley or Oakwood or a park of similar calibre. I here the owners are asking for a staggering price for it though!
Resurrecting an old thread to say that if anyone has fond memories of "Mad Edgar" from Camelot in the 90s/early 2000s he won the first Britain's Got Talent semi-final on ITV last night (under his real name Steve Royle). The final's on 10th October if anyone wants to cheer him on.
