Walkers Crisps are doing a competition at the moment to choose their next permanent flavour of crisp.

The options are Cajun Squirrel, Builder's Breakfast, Chocolate and Chilli, Hoisin and Duck, Fish and Chips, and Onion Bhaji.

I've had Builder's Breakfast and Cajun Squirrel so far. Nothing remarkable, but it's good to have something a little different.

What's your choice?

I was thinking of starting this topic yesterday as I tried the Builders Breakfast but thought better as it would end up like that ruddy Revels topic.

Builders Breakfast has the aftertaste of sweaty bedsheets.

Not tried the others although I bet the Bargee and Duck ones are nice.

I thought they tasted like one of those "everything in a bap" kind of breakfast things you get. Only not the solid chunks, but that wet bread you always end up with sagging and soggy in the cling film.

I've never tried sweaty bedsheets, so can't comment.

I think that's two posts I've made now (maybe even more today) without a single emoticon! That's quite scary!

Nooooo I haven't actually found these yet :-( Asda had the 6 pack but was 6 of 1 flavour so I aint gonna go and buy all the packs! Fish n Chips, Onion Bhaji and Cajun Squirrel sound the best but unfortunately I can't choose yet :-(

Chilli and Chocolate or Cajun Squirrel FTW!

But think about all those poor squirrels!

;)

Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips Wins.

Wow, haven't seen any of these yet. We only get a few flavours over here but I hope thye get some of them in. I like the sound of the "Fish and Chips" and "Builder's Breakfast" ones.

I've only tried the Cajun Squirrel flavour and it wasn't anything special as it tasted nothing like a Squirrel. :? It was also had a weird after-taste to it.
Wouldn't mind trying the others though.

What does that taste like then?

Asking the only person in my family who would like any of those flavours, my mum said "No" to all of them, followed by a "Bring back Bovril!".

*Speaking for all of CF outside Britain*

Walkers... what? I thought "crisps" were potato chips, but with those flavours?

*luckily realises that I most likely never will touch any of them*

I hadn't heard of them until yesterday, and only then heard of the Chilli and Chocolate ones and didn't try them... so... uh... *shrug*

Cajun Squirrel - they just tasted like Cajun crisps. They were nice, but they weren't obviously squirrel, which is surely where the novelty is?

Crispy Duck and Hoisin - again, the hoisin flavour was good, but it wasn't obviously duck.

Builder's Breakfast - tasted more like tomato ketchup and they smelt really greasy. They were a really nice flavour, but they just didn't do it for me.

Fish and Chips - I really liked these. They smelt amazing and they tasted good. The flavour wasn't as strong as it could've been, but they were still excellent.

Onion Bhaji - these were my favourite. They smelt and tasted almost exactly like onion bhajis and they left a really nice after taste.

Chilli and Chocolate - again, these where nice. I couldn't pick out the chilli or chocolate flavour but they were nice. A really random flavour, I liked it.

Overall I voted for the Onion Bhaji. They were the best re-creation of the original flavour. Some of the other crisps were nice, but the novelty was what sold it. I wouldn't have got the duck, squirrel and chilli/chocolate from just a taste test.

Hmm... crisps...
