Haha, if anyone’s familiar with the game Parkitect it reminds me of that.

Coaster looks great though! Love how compact it is, especially how it looks jammed up against two coasters like that. Looks to be really well paced through some of those tight maneuvers too.

Think that map's actually quite decent.

Ahhhhh I don't want to get my hopes up for the ride because there's always going to be a bit of fanboyism hyping it up a bit upon first opening but I REALLY need to ride it asap.

I was fortunate enough to ride Icon today (in the last but one row) and it definitely delivered.

When you compare the ride to Nemesis - my benchmark for UK coasters - I think BPB's new kid on the block might have it beat. Sustained intensity is the only thing of note that's missing from Icon in my opinion, but there's more than enough pops of air and exciting shifts in direction and height to keep you on your toes. I could imagine marathoning the Mack coaster for far longer than is sensible with the B&M machine, ultimately getting more enjoyment out of the process too. Pleasingly, very little of its quite considerable ride duration is wasted on quiet or dull moments - thanks in part to the absence of a lift hill and the interesting arrangement of different elements/ride progression.

I think I was always going to like Icon because Blue Fire impressed me a lot when I rode it several years ago. I'm just a little surprised to find a very similar, high quality coaster from a top manufacturer at Blackpool Pleasure Beach of all places!

Ahh so excited now. I know people might be getting caught up in the hype a bit, but the fact that these reviews are all coming from early morning half filled rides is making me very optimistic. And yeah the map's pretty retro. I like it.
