The train pattern is snakeskin.

ICON is a serpent that been released from the depths of the Earth by a giant sword after a tidal wave hit the land of Blackpool.

Before you say it’s ridiculous, if Alton can have an alien called NEMESIS then Blackpool can have a serpent called ICON.
So is Icon based off the Japanese mythology of Ikuchi?

Just looking up this Ikuchi thing, Sounds a bit like Icon...
INTERACTIONS: When an ikuchi’s path crosses a boat’s, the sea monster envelopes the boat in its tentacle-like body. It slithers over the sides and across the deck, slowly sliding its whole body over the boat. Ikuchi are so long—many kilometers, by some accounts—that it can take hours for an entire one to slither over a boat. On a few occasions, boats have been tangled up in this monster for days. During this time, sailors must constantly bail the monster’s oily slime off of the deck to avoid being capsized by the heavy goo.

Is Icon finished yet? There’s still a lot of landscaping and theming set pieces to put in.

That Wicker Fish is going to look great ;)

In all seriousness though, the fact BPB are going to the extra lengths to add set-pieces is great. Just curious as to wtf they are now.

Haha.. so the tidal wave brought a giant sword? Or was the sword there before the tidal wave?

Already looks like the best coaster there tbh. Also excited by the fact that this is testing already, hopefully the end of May was just a conservative estimate and they'll have it open for the early May bank holiday, or is 2+ months testing normal for a launched coaster?
