Best Songs Of The Noughties

Sorry uncle, but if I can't bop, or at least tune in to the song, I no likey :(

I like a lot of metal music, classical music, opera, rock... But my preference is house. I studied folk music in school and I loved it, but I wouldn't go out and buy the stuff. :)

This is my kind of song -

Deadmau5 - Ghosts n' Stuff

Timbaland? Seriously? The guy steals samples and produces songs which end up sounding like every other piece of music he's worked on.

About 70% of songs have other peoples samples in them... FACT.

You like Daft Punk and I have you know that about 90% of their work is other peoples samples. - Technologic, One More Time, Harder better Faster Stronger...... I really could go one listing them.

Yeh read what I wrote. STEALS samples. He takes peoples work without credit. Daft Punk on the other hand give credit where it is due.

Oh, Technologic and One More Time don't contain samples. Infact only 6 of Daft Punks songs are based off a sample, and that's out of a total of 40 songs from their 3 studios albums. That means only 15% of their songs contain samples.

Oh my lord...

Timbo doesn't steel anything... He fully licenses the track or they'd never be released. Think Ed, really.... Think.

I've seen those youtube videos where he's supposedly stolen songs, but he borrows and what he actually uses, he does get it cleared.

Yeah I've seen that ages ago.

That was an old music demo made in a tracker program. Once its released for FREE with a magazine, as it once was, it becomes public domain. Anybody can use it, even Timbo.

^ Are you going to make a poll containing every single song that was released between 2000 and 2009?

No, I'm not. I'm just wondering why it's in General Polls?

It is a type of poll, in a way... I think?

Anyway, glad to see this topic is getting more attention, I do agree there are way too many, like I also wish I had included Stop Crying Your Heart Out and maybe something like Bleeding Love.

Rosenrot by Rammstein obviously :--D

But seriously the song that I think takes it is Hey Ya by outkast. It's the only song that is completely not my type of music but I still think is great.

Viva la Vida, Umbrella and pretty much every other Grammy record of the year nominees are worth mentioning as well.
