Best fast food chips (American: fries)

A tie between Wendy's and Chick-fil-A, only because waffle fries are legit.

Even though I worked there for however many years, I still maintain that KFC's fries are the best.

Fresh, with a bit of salt, they're pretty impressive. You clearly don't get enough when you buy them though. Fortunately, when I worked there, that wasn't a problem.

See KFCs should be the best, but I was horrified when I was in the UK to see a sign in the restaurant saying the chips don't get salted, and you had to put it on yourself. It's better when they do it because the shaker they use gets a more even coverage. Here they still salt them well, so they are the best of the 3 choices above.

McDonalds and Hungry Jacks (BKs trading name in Oz) are bearable, but I rarely bother since they just do nothing for me.

My favourites though are Nandos peri peri chips.

TGIs does do some nice chips but TGI, last time I checked, was not a fast food joint.

I went through a faze when I was at school of loving the chips at Burger King and then I found myself realising that Burger King is turd and I went off them completely (I won't touch their food unless I'm drunk and it's the only thing open within 15 mins walking distance).

KFC's chips are a bit dull, they taste like they have the most potato in them compared to the other two places but they just taste so rubbish that you have to just smother them in salt to make them bearable.

McDonalds chips win by a mile, yeah they are covered in salt but they taste so much better than the other two. However I think the real question is...Has anyone dipped their McDonald's chips in their McFlurry? I have and it really works, I know it shouldn't but it does.

Haha, as much as I love working the fry station at McDonalds, I like KFCs fries better, especially with their disgustingly fattening gravy.

KFC with gravy are the best.

However the gravy is definitely the redeeming feature.

Mcdonalds with nothing are nice.

Burger King's with ANYTHING are ****ing awful.

Gravy the redeeming feature? I just had some on your recommendation. Can't decide whether its dog or cat pee that's thicker.

I suppose if I'd added the 7 (SEVEN) packs of salt they gave me it might have had some flavour.

For the fries I'll go with McDonalds out of those 3 but would prefer some proper chips from a chippy any day

Like I said, good KFC gravy is like gold dust, but when it's good, it's really bloody good.

I didn't even know KFC had fries... I just eat there for the biscuits and chicken fingers- especially at the beach.

Oh, um, on topic, McDonalds out of the three, but Chick-fil-A is the best fast food, and Five Guys is best overall.
