Who made the ride? Is it credited to a manufacturer or is the concept so simple it's an in-house jobbie?

Thanks.

I doubt it would be an in house job, because there are companies out there that specialise in foam ball play systems, SCS and Prime Play being a couple of the manufacturers out there. I guess it would be a case of looking for key components, and working out what manufacturer made them.

It was bought (IIRC) from the Millennium Dome. They sold their system to Tussauds who put it in Alton and Chessington.

NOW! Did they sell the actual bits, or simply the system based on the one at the dome?

I don't know, and we're going quite a way back here. However, as Twinlakes and Oakwood both also have the same system, there must be a manufacturer :)

Dennis' Madhouse is the actual one from the Millennium Dome as well...

It probably has the company logo somewhere on it like Dragon's Playhouse does...

Yeah, I remember the news item saying Tussauds had bought the system from the dome and where installing it in two of their attraction.

I don't know if they bought the whole lot and split it between the two sites, or if they bought one, and then got the other and put it in at Alton.

They both opened the same year, so I suspect the former.

As I say, both Twinlakes and Oakwood have exactly the same system, but I can't find a manufacturer for them. There's a German company does them, but the guns and balls are very different.
