Maybe an unpopular opinion; but to me it looks too much like a waterslide for a swimming pool to make it feel like a new headline attraction.

The new area is set to open on March 30th. We also get our first look at the river rapids boats, which confirms they'll have lapbar restraints.

Bellewaerde has revealed a bunch of new renderings as well as the name of the new rides and area, dubbed Mundo Amazonia.



The Intamin rapids will be simply called Amazonia, while the junior log flume and Zamperla family coaster will be called Rio do Cacao and Brazilian Buggies respectively. The existing River Splash log flume will also be integrated into the new area and renamed Rio Do Cafe.

With lots of cool things coming in the theme park industry in 2024 (especially coaster-wise), this feels like it's going a little under the radar. But this feels like it could be a sleeper hit of an investment for years to come.

This was mentioned in early plans for the ride, but seemed to be glossed over since. It's a really cool idea, but seems like a maintenance nightmare which could be abandoned in the future.
