I'm planning a trip to Bellewaerde Park in Ypres, Belgium later this year to go on their Topple Tower, What's the on-ride like..?

How many operational HUSS Topple Tower are there left.

Good luck, topple towers rarely stay open. When I visited last year the ride was closed, no idea if that's a regular occurrence.

I got to ride the Dollyfood one, and it rode exactly like I expected it to... A little less forceful than I expected, but it really is just a frisbee, with the arm turned upside-down, and with a barely noticeable counter-rotation of the whole ride. (The swing direction changes, but without off-ride landmarks, you might not notice from on-ride.)

It isn't bad, but obviously the reliability just isn't where it should be, so good luck, if that's your main purpose for visiting!

Mysterious Island in Zhuhai, China still has one and Marineland in Canada. Are these the only 3?

Dollywood got rid of theirs didnt they?

^Marineland removed their one a couple of years ago. Walygator Park has one, but it was down when I went there last summer.

Djurs sommerland have one too - It was down during the live back in '09, but open when I went last year - quite enjoyed it too!

I've been on the one at Bellewaerde and am afraid that I was quite disappointed. Usually I'm petrified of anything like a drop tower, but this was very slow and forceless. Also, it was only open for some of the time we were at the park and we were making a whistlestop visit.

The park is nice though, worth going anyway for the train through the lion enclosure (just don't do it in baking summer heat because the train is silver metal and you roast!). I really enjoyed Huracan as well.

The rides have very bad maintenance, and so few are left.

I think they're actually maintained really well by the parks. The problem is that they're badly manufactured and designed - see Dollywood Vs Huss :)

The only park that successfully continues to operate their topple tower on a regular basis is Djurs Sommerland.
Usually it's down for a week or two every season when some part needs to be replaced.

The main problem with the rides is HUSS's extremely bad after sale service since the new company was founded. Not that the guys working there are jerks or anything, but if you need a part that is not in stock you are going to have to wait for a LONG time before you get it, since the company dosen't have an own factory anymore.

Add to this that they are very careful about keeping spare parts in stock due to the cost of doing so, and it's pretty bad for anyone owning one of these rides.
