Now, let me just say before I start this, this is a PTR I did for TPR just copied and pasted, so there'll probably be a lot of crap that doesn't make too much sense on here as I go along, but, whatever, I aint writing two trip reports so, live with it.
OK, so I figured that although there’ll be about a million of these, I still wanted to do a PTR of the beyond-awesome time I had on the Behemoth/East Coast trips. Now, the amount of photos I took just sort of plummets to about two a day halfway through the trip, so a fair amount of the parks will be nothing more then like, those two photos, a few comments and not a lot else. But, the majority of those days (ie. Morey’s Piers) I was having too much fun hanging out to worry about photos, so that’s OK by me. Plus, the photos of rides aren’t really any good, so I’ll try and avoid posting a lot of them, plus, something tells me you might have seen a couple of those by now anyway! Still, this trip was about a LOT more then coasters, so a coaster-lite report is another thing that is OK by me. I also can’t promise I’ll finish it, but I have nought to do for the next few weeks, so I’ll do my best!
Now, just before I start with everything, I just want to say a BIG thank-you to everyone that made this trip SO memorable and the best two-odd weeks I’ve spent doing anything ever. So, a shout-out to y’all who I won’t name cause A. You know who you are and B. You’ll all probably turn up in photo-form anyway so I can’t be bothered to type what I’ll just show later anyway! Although there are some people who I loved hanging with but don’t have ANY photos of! Like David, how did I go all that time and still not have a photo of us!
And one last thing- Robb and Elissa, you guys freakin’ RULE! Thank-you! I was a bit worried I wouldn’t get the huge, amazing, fall-in-love addiction to the TPR trips that everyone goes on about, I thought that would probably a bit too much hype. Have I ever been so happily wrong about anything before? No. No I have not. Seriously, if there’s even a simmer of hope you could do a trip in 09, DO IT. I know I’ll be doing one at least every year until they end!
OK, so day one of the Behemoth trip was Seabreeze, a quaint little park with an AWESOME Log Flume which would strike a Log Flume-obsession which would run through the trip (Dorney’s Log Flume = absolute pwnage on a stick while Busch’s = absolute fail just as a sidenote). The woodie-which-I-can’t-remember-the-name-of was fun, but Bear Trax WAS NOT! Fail at getting on that was upsetting. Whirlwind was good fun, and the ERT on that and Bobselds was a great way to start the trip off with a bang.
Wooden Roller Coaster 1 starts off the photos with a very exciting lift hill porn shot.
The big stick that it uses to slow itself down is very geekily arousing.
TPR members get ready in the scary-Morgan-train
After the woodie we found the park’s highlight show- random hot people get semi-naked and stretch
The park’s proper coaster highlight was this awesome MS spinner
Which I CAN remember the name of, since I have this handy photo to tell me what it is
This would be better if the people weren’t totally random but I included it to say how awesome the first drop is backwards
The other coaster in the park was the famous Bobselds
A strange woodie-steel-ex-kiddie-coaster-that-got-extended hybrid, it was a fun ride, but really scary at points
Random generic group queue shot 1
Kimmy and Eric seemed to be enjoying something
I can’t think of anything to say, so I’ll just let Brooke’s face to the talking
Although the scary pathing and garish theming doesn’t look great, it’s actually a quaint little park with buckets of charm
And the amazing Log Flume makes an appearance. It started off with a randomly fast cement trench thing, but the highlight was the freakin’ steep drop!
See, freakin’ steep! This meant for a LOT of airtime, sending me off my seat in a way no Log Flume should be allowed to do.
The… Screaming Eagle (?) ride was a lot of fun, especially since you get to look at the people sat opposite you and scream at each other.
And a random group shot of us before braving the might-be-called-something-Eagley ride closes out Seabreeze
I’ll put Darien Lake up next, so remain tuned.
