So for a while I have wanted to create rides with .3ds scenery but I have a mac so that has already been an issue. Last semester for school I got a free copy of AutoCad 2013 for my laptop, and am now wondering if I can get the 3d files from there into no limits. AutoCad used to have a .3ds converter, but they got rid of it in the "upgrade".
