I never said that this guy is right by what he is saying, but he has the right to say it and he has obviously done his research.

Freedom of speech/being well researched does not protect anyone from scrutiny, but rather invites it. How is anyone to believe this if they cannot ask questions nor punch holes in this theory?

However, let's keep this discussion on the point of Alton Towers/Smiler, and save the raping and torturing of little boys and girls for another topic.

It is rather conclusive the documentation of the accident. There is video of the two joined trains still swaying after all. As for motive? I cannot think of one for causing such an accident.

Thanks for posting that, it's one report I haven't seen before. It's a really tough one, and I know this has more than likely been discussed in other topics but we all know coaster rule 101, especially after PMBO years ago that a coaster will not have more than 1 train running in a block section of track. Even with human error how could a ride op over-ride the fail-safe system when the empty train didn't cross the block section? I would really like to understand that at a technical level as to better speculate. Something just rubs me the wrong way about it. It might just be the fact I purchased train tickets to Uttoxeter at half 2 the day this happened! (I really am serious about that, and have the tickets with the time of print to rove it). It freaked me out a little. Before anyone gets me wrong my thoughts and feelings to go out to those hurt. It's a risk we take every time we do it but no one should have to suffer through life changing injuries and I'm a victim of one myself and know personally how much it can have an impact on your life.

The investigation is still ongoing for how the accident occurred, but the known facts are that the test train was still mid course when the second train full of riders was dispatched. (This test car having been sent out after an apparent reset of the operation systems) The two driving questions of the current investigation are: 1. To what extent did the ride system know the location of the two trains via the blocking system following the reset. 2. How essential was human action in creating this scenario.

There are still unanswered questions about how exactly the crash occurred, which the investigation is seeking to find out.
There will be a logical and understandable outcome of that investigation, which will explain the causes of the accident without having to resort to some illogical conspiracy bull ****.
Information on the accident should be taken from experts or at least people knowledgeable in the field of coasters - not random people on the internet who don't have this understanding.
I reckon I could easily come up with a convincing conspiracy theory on the crash, and it wouldn't contain any solid evidence or knowledge - and yet people would still believe me.
Lets leave the investigation to the experts.

Video proof means jack **** to someone who doesn't want to believe it. They will find something and say it was doctored and is false. Even if there are seven different videos showing same thing in different angles, all false propoganda for the illuninatorz!

You can't fix stupid with stupid. The ride crashed, people got severely hurt. Investigations take time. Take the tin foil off, go outside, and pray that the genetically modified walrus people that the puppet governments set up to reign in the zombie apocalypse don't attack you.

There is is always something they don't tell you about incidents like this.

Quite often they can't to protect people or because there isn't enough evidence. Sometimes (especially in the US), a payment out of court means that the details are never heard in the public world.

Would you, or the person who made this video, go to the hospital while one of the victims was undergoing an operation of therapy and put the accusation to them that they are lying? Would you physically and in person say "you are a liar!"?

The reason it's disrespectful is because that's what you're doing, only behind the safety of a computer screen. These are real people, really hurt and with their lives changed in a way that you cannot possibly comprehend. What the "conspiracy theory" does is to dehumanise people - they're just cheats and liars, not "decent people" any more. And that is wrong.

I do. I quite often think the world is a vicious and unpleasant place. It's terrible crimes and atrocities that are done to innocents across the globe. It has nothing - ZERO - to do with this though. What research? Has he investigated the crash scene personally? Did he interview the dozens of independent witnesses himself? Doe she have a qualification in accident scene investigation? Has he visited the families, friends of families and neighbourhood and asked "this girl, so like before she went to Alton Towers, can you remember how many legs she had?" It's zero research other than putting together some grainy clips and photos off the internet.

He has the right to spout complete ****, you're right. However, we also have the right to say "that's complete **** " and to call him out on it.

A visit to their home town and home neighbourhood and canvassing people to see if anyone does would find dozens or hundreds of people who have. That would involve research and getting out of a bedroom though.

These conspiracy theorists irritate me. Whatever tragedy happens, people always come up with hogwash just make a ridiculous story. In this case, the bloke who made the video probably has nothing better to do in his free time and just decided to make this video either for a laugh (troll) or because he is one of those extreme conspiracy theorist. As a result, he has created a video which can only be described in one word. Tosh.

Hardcore conspiracy theorists are the worst.

My favorite part about listening to them though is that they (claim to) know everything. Like when the Malaysian Airlines plane disappeared and after a few hours of speculation the conspiracy theorists had all the details. From who was piloting the plane, where it was, why it ended up there, who the passengers were, which organization was in charge etc. And this is just a few hours following the incident when nobody could possibly know all the details.

And to try and argue with one? Good luck. At least the ones that I've had experience with will call you names, tell you to open "up your eyes" and basically try and insult you into believing what they "know" to be right.

And Dan1989, I'm not saying that you're a conspiracy theorist and that you have these qualities. Being interested in hearing about conspiracy theories and being a conspiracy theorist are two entirely different entities. I'm not sure that I know anyone who isn't at least interested in hearing about them, even if it's just to laugh at how ridiculous they can be.

How could anyone joke on this and call it a hoax? That guy is such a heartless **** I can't actually believe people like that actually exist. As far as I know, everyone on the train was injured in some shape or form, including amputations and there's some :dontswear:saying that this whole thing isn't real and seems like the construct of some fictional organisation like the Illuminati or something.
