Accident at Flamingoland

Not good at all.
However I am more shocked that Zamperla Volare's cost 8 Million?! Someone please tell me this isn't true!

^ I thought the same thing. That seems like a ludicrous price for something so insubstantial.

Hmm, I'm skeptical about the £8m. Perhaps the researchers found that Hero was "part of" an £8m investment (i.e.: removing the old mouse, buying alongside the spinner coaster) and assumed the £8m price tag was for the Hero alone.

Either way, thoughts and prayers to the family.

As far as the price goes, RCDB lists Praters Volare as coming in at 3,3 million Euro. and the one at Genting as RM20 million. Uh, thanks to Google conversions that's 2,331,284.15GBP and 3,566,762.28GBP. None of the others have a price listed.

Is Scarborough Hospital actually just someone's house?

Scarborough hospital actually set someone on fire on the operating table.

To be honest, I'm surprised it wasn't one of the older rides that hurt someone. The place is a dive and the sooner they close, the better.

Just an update on this. When I went on Thursday they had it closed on the morning and most of the afternoon while they installed netting over the queue line.

Bit worrying and I know it's just a precaution but seeing the netting 'in case it happens again' doesn't exactly fill one with confidence!

The ride re-opened late that day.

The netting could be to prevent loose articles falling on people in queue like phones, ect.
Tbh I'm surprised it didn't have any in the first place.
