^ The music's excellent. In case anyone didn't know, it was written specifically for the ride by Danny Elfman.
It's not exactly an original storyline, but more of a parallel story to DisneySea's Tower of Terror. The owners of TOT and Mystic Manor are both members of the same explorers club, and have both collected an enchanted/cursed artifact that acts as the catalyst for the rides' events.
I honestly can't see another park getting this anytime soon. It's clearly a hugely different ride to any of the current Haunted Mansion rides, but from an outside perspective it's way too similar in theme. It's weird really; Mystic Manor is clearly an alternative to/evolution of a Haunted Mansion ride, but has very little in common with them.
There's Shanghai I guess, but given the proximity I don't think it's too likely.
