They show for me as well, splotches aren't obvious. Loving the report so far Taylor, shame about Voyage though.

^ Ha, I guess I'm not a Muppet after all, Darren!

And yah it was a shame because I thought it'd never be knocked out, but c'est la vie!

Day 9- St Louis City Museum and Six Flags St. Louis

Our original plan on day 9 was to go to Six Flags St. Louis in the morning and knock all the creds off before hitting up the City Museum in the downtown area. I realized the museum was only open until 5, so we decided to alter our plans a little bit and hit that up first and Six Flags in the afternoon. It was definitely not something I wanted to miss, and I'm so glad we didn't! We arrived around 10:45 and were greeted by a factory-esque building that looked as though a junk yard had exploded on it. Sadly, Darren didn't want to go in, so he sashayed away to Titanium vape shop.

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect other than a giant playground. We paid the cheap admission fee and started to explore.

There was a room with a lady giving snowflake lessons in it, so we went in there and each made a snowflake with the fabulous Marion. She was so strange, telling stories about ghosts and kids getting pulled into machines when the City Museum was a factory. Not exactly child friendly stuff!

11257015_10155723004345343_2825624208207209369_n.jpg

Darren picked us up a little while later and we were off to Six Flags St. Louis. The City Museum is just such an awesome and unique place, and I'd recommend it to anyone within the vicinity of St. Louis, even if you have to go a few hours out of your way for it. We sadly couldn't enjoy the outdoors part of it because of the weather, but I'm sure it's just as awesome!

There was a nasty storm on the way to Six Flags, but it cleared just as we got there. The park was very empty, which was a good thing so we could just get the creds and go. I had them all so I just rode a few things. The first coaster was Batman, which I sat out of.

11425567_10155723005205343_8491841794682461268_n.jpg

On the way to Ninja, which was only the second cred of the day, my shoe decided to snap, making me uncomfortable for the rest of the time in the park because I had to walk barefoot through puddles likely riddled with spit. For some reason this seems to be a trend, with my sandal breaking in the same manner at Kings Island a few years back right at the beginning of the day!

1509192_10155723005710343_2022713711877493031_n.jpg

After they rode Ninja and River King Mine Train, we went to the Boomerang. It had just started to rain so we got slightly moist while we rode. It also had the longest queue of the day! Silly general public. At least it was a new cred for me.

11214355_10155723007220343_4646330115235767811_n.jpg

There was some chunder on the exit ramp, which was pretty gross and I thought about how nasty it would have been if I hadn't seen it and stepped in it with my bare foot!

I sat out of Screamin' Eagle as well, which I kind of regret because it's a bit of a solid white woodie!

11427237_10155723006910343_1846622612821983027_n.jpg

We rode Boss as well, which I decided to go on because I remember secretly liking it last time. I took a second row ride with Ben, while Tom and Darren sat in the front. Ben was the only one who really hated it! I sat out of Pandemonium or Tony Hawk or whatever, because they're a bit gross.

I didn't take many pictures of the rest of the day because I don't really care for Six Flags parks. We did Mr. Freeze as well as the rapids, which left a bit to be desired as they weren't super wet. Darren absolutely hated Mr. Freeze with a passion, whereas I still think it's a great ride.

11412347_10155723009655343_3667964325589193422_n.jpg

Sadly, Justic League had a line of over an hour so we thought we'd skip it and nab it at Six Flags Over Texas instead. More on that later, but things didn't go quite to plan.

American Thunder was the last coaster of the day and it's still a great ride. It doesn't blow my mind, but it has a good layout with a lot of little airtime pops! It has a very high rerideability factor, so we sat on it a few times before getting off.

We left the park and somehow lost Darren, so we ended up having to wait at the car for like, twenty minutes before finally being reunited. Six Flags St. Louis is still a decent park in my eyes as far as the chain parks go. It's not great by any means, but it has a decent atmosphere and the clientele isn't horrible. It just needs a standout coaster to make it a little bit better.

We headed to our next stop and on the way, got some Cracker Barrel, which I still love minus the disgusting cheese grits.

The City Museum is absolutely amazing, a definite highlight of the trip.

It was just so ridiculous and incredible, the casual Gringotts bit <3

Having said that, bae would have hated it so I'm glad he didn't go in, ha.

Six Flags St Louis was OK, they need to iron out the issues with Boss though. If you get me.

We wouldn't know about public transport as we obviously went by car. However, you drive, Dan, so you're covered from all angles.

Re: 22 Days of Coasters- Day 9- The Best Place Ever!

The forecast wasn't looking so great for our day at Silver Dollar City, so we were going to get there for opening but being lazy buggers got the best of us and we arrived a while after. The parking lot looked really busy, being almost completely full, but it's quite deceiving because the coasters don't really get long queues. We figured since it's a family park that has more to it than just cred upon cred, people were dispersed around the shops, shows, and other attractions rather than just at the coasters. Still, my main goal from the day was Outlaw Run, considering I had all the other creds. But, as you can see, even the line for the fun bus to the entrance was long!

The park itself is so much nicer than I remembered. I actually remember not really liking Silver Dollar City or Dollywood last time I visited them, but my opinion changed quite a bit especially as far as Silver Dollar City is concerned. The only thing I really still hate is the layout of the park. It's not actually a big park in terms of area, but the layout forces you to have to walk in the most roundabout ways to get from attraction to attraction, which can be a bit silly, annoying, and confusing all at once. I literally would not have been able to navigate the park had I not been with people who can read a park map.

Our first stop of the day, much to my dismay (one of the only times I was getting cred anxiety on the entire trip, because I had been waiting for Outlaw Run since it opened a few years back), was Wildfire. I think it's an overrated coaster to be honest, but the setting gives it those extra brownie points. It's not a bad ride, just a bit short and nothing spectacular, but the first drop and the view it great.

10393728_10155751422890343_1263237437012566140_n.jpg

Myself and Ben rode in the back the first go, and then for some reason Tom wanted to reride right away so I rode the second from the back row. It was a walk on anyway, so it didn't eat up much time but it had already started to rain and the dark clouds were rolling in! It ended up being an entertaining ride, having been sat next to a hick family that was talking about how the first drop made their balls tickle.

We walked over to Powder Keg next...

10304441_10155751423800343_2699216232937883520_n.jpg

Only to find that it was shut due to inclement weather. It wasn't really raining at this point, but the track was wet and apparently needed to dry off. So, much to Ben's dismay, we headed over to Fire in the Hole, which is DEFINITELY more of a cred than Gold Mine at Blackpool regardless of how much he wants to pout about it. I did not remember how wet you actually get on it! It was a lot more than the light misting I was anticipating. I still really like this coaster for some reason, even though most of it is just mincing along a track next to some random scenes of pioneers and Indians.

11350482_10155751423865343_3543753240088025489_n.jpg

The next stop was Thunderation, which Darren had to be escorted to because the ground was wet and his shoes didn't have traction. Thank goodness Ben is such a gentleman, or Darren would've taken a fair few spills.

10629795_10155751424510343_7385495981173402296_n.jpg

Thunderation was actually so great! I didn't really remember much about it, apart from that it went backwards last time I rode it. It's really substantial in height an length for a mine train style coaster, and apart from Outlaw Run, was actually probably the longest line of the day. I would definitely reride it again if I ever go back and I'd even go as far as saying it's one of my favourite mine train coasters apart from maybe the ones at the Disney parks (Everest being the only one I'd probably put above it).

Next was the coaster I had been waiting for since it debuted: Outlaw Run!

1471266_10155751425475343_9018259655807280529_n.jpg

This was also important because it was Tom's thousandth coaster, not including powered coasters and whatever else he doesn't count.

11227941_10155751425520343_2129542240069918458_n.jpg

It was only one train operation which meant about a fifteen to twenty minute wait. We all decided to wait for the front row, and I rode with Tom.

10153100_10155751427135343_8489242562705818561_n.jpg

Darren and Ben were a bit mad at me because I gave away my opinion of it when I got back to the station, but whatever, they got over it.

549383_10155751427470343_1124901886209180324_n.jpg

Honestly, I have to say I wasn't blown away my first ride like I expected to be. I did have high hopes because I have heard nothing but great things about it, but I didn't let me expectations get out of control and I was still a bit let down. I don't know if the rain made it run a bit slower, or if it was just because it felt a bit on the short side, but I definitely prefer Wicked Cyclone. After we rode in the back later my opinion of it improved substantially, but it's still not in my top five. Top ten? Yes. But I think overall I prefer Wicked Cyclone and Iron Rattler.

It had pissed down rain a bit, so Grand Exposition Coaster was closed until the track dried, and Powder Keg was still out of commission. We decided to wait until GEC opened that way everyone else could get the cred.

11054402_10155751428035343_6944230280299137462_n.jpg

It was about fifteen minutes and five laps of test runs later that they finally let people on. It didn't last long though, because it started pissing rain again a few minutes later. At least everyone got the cred, and that's all that mattered!

1897806_10155751428675343_3929187111256036455_n.jpg

Darren braved the rain so he could smoke while we all took shelter.

11181322_10155751428970343_3902067976826208703_n.jpg

Only Powder Keg was left on the agenda, so we kind of minced around the park knowing it would still be closed due to the weather. There was a fab bridge thing...

11014746_10155751429685343_8825457975259583762_n.jpg

There was a jerky shop near Powder Keg, so I decided I would sample some alligator jerky and deer jerky. It was awesome!

10440948_10155751429695343_7704740976657344047_n.jpg

I also met a little friend while we waited!

1982202_10155751430265343_8594489631294048507_n.jpg

It started to become annoying waiting for Powder Keg to open, so I think we ended up just going back to Outlaw Run for a few rerides. I decided to stay and reride it myself when they went back to Powder Keg after one or two rides. The timing was great because when I met them back at Powder Keg, it was just opening so we were the first train of the day. Realistically though, we probably waited over an hour for it if you consider how long we waited in the rain for it to open!

It wasn't as good as I remembered it being, especially the pointless second half, which might as well just be a drop into the brake run. It's still a fun enough family coaster though.

We were feeling a bit meh at this point, probably because of the weather, so we decided to just head out. It was after four at this point and even though we had to skip some of the fab water rides, mother nature was being spiteful so we headed to the fun bus and the bakery where they were selling some blown out buttholes for dessert.

Ben was thirsty so he bought a pop, which he spilled about ten seconds later in line for the parking lot tram. It was actually the highlight of my day, because random people laughed at him.

We were hoping to see some tornados on the drive into Little Rock, but all we got was more rain and scary driving conditions. I didn't dig it. I'll end this part of the report off with a picture of Ben being glam.

I really liked Silver Dollar City, shame the weather was poo.

Outlaw Run was fabulous though, I liked it more than any of you guys I think. So short but so perfectly formed <3

Silver Dollar City was definitely a highlight of the trip, despite the weather.

I'd love to give Outlaw Run another chance when there's 2 train operations on it. It didn't blow me away, but it's still a really good ride, way better than most of the wooden coasters I've done.

Day 11- Magic Springs and Crystal Falls

I was really looking forward to this day, but it ended up being the first day of what were probably the worst few days of the trip. We hit the road for Magic Springs, which was in sort of a strange location, and at first we didn't even know if it was open. I was pretty excited for it because it is fairly exclusive, and because I hadn't heard much about it, it was a bit mysterious as well. Well, my excitement ended rather rapidly when we went to the admission booth and realized admission was nearly $60, which is still way too much even if we were planning on doing the waterpark. We had initially planned to do that, but it was a long drive to Texas so we figured we'd just get the creds and go. Darren refused to pay that for admission, so he waited in the car. Twenty minutes later (it literally took them twenty minutes to process like, two customer's tickets, it was ridiculous), we were entering the park.

The park was actually aesthetically pleasing and it wasn't busy at all, which was a bonus. We headed to their kiddie coaster first, which is called Diamond Mine Run and is fairly basic.

We headed to X Coaster next, which I was really looking forward to because I had never done an X-Car coaster before. Conveniently, all the creds were in the same area of the park, which was definitely a good thing because we were in a race against the rain.

I actually really enjoyed it. It's something a bit different to anything else I'd ever been on, and it wasn't really that rough at all, so I'm not in the haters club of these coaster types.

Big Bad John was next, which is just a clone of the one at Six Flags St. Louis so I wasn't too excited about it. There wasn't a line, but some goof lost his cell phone so they went looking for it and held everything up for a good ten or fifteen minutes.

We stopped to watch the boats for a little bit.

We had one more cred to get, which was definitely the most anticipated of the day. Totally kidding, because our last coaster at the park was the Gauntlet, which is an ugly yellow SLC. Even the general public knew to stay away from this thing, because we were practically the only ones in the station. Something was wrong with it though, because they had maintenance working on it for about ten minutes without even letting us know what was going on. Eventually we boarded, and though it wasn't the worst SLC I have been on, it was not one of the best either.

Since poor Darren was sitting in the heat, we made our way to the exit. It was a quick and expensive cred run, but I got my first X-Car out of it and three +1s. It would have been nice to do the waterpark, but it didn't really look good enough for me to ever go out of my way to get back there. Still, it was a place that always intrigued me and I got to go even for just a short while!

We had a long drive ahead of us to Dallas, and it was one of the most horrifying drives of my entire life. Plus, Tom was driving which really made it ten times worse. It chucked down rain so hard we couldn't see a thing, and the spray from the transport truck drivers who still thought it was okay to go 70mph blinded us even further. After pulling over two or three times and nearly having about seven heart attacks, we finally arrived in what was probably about 6 hours instead of the intended 4.

CULCH.

We had a hard time finding Dicks, but eventually we did so we parked in the parking garage and treated ourselves to a much deserved meal. I kind of wish they ripped into you more at Dicks, as they could have been far more cruel than they were. It was still a good time though and the food was decent.

It was time for some more culture, so we drove through Dealey Plaza which was pretty cool to see. Darren and Ben tried to provoke me later on in the trip saying that we were in the wrong spot and didn't actually see Dealey Plaza, but we did, they were just trying to get a rise out of me

A pit stop to target was in order, where my only purchase was a bottle of $5 champagne for me and my classy bitch Ben to share at the hotel.

We really needed to drink off what we were seeing in the weather forecast. It wasn't just rain for the next day. It wasn't just a storm. It was... Tropical Depression Bill </3

Stay tuned!

Re: 22 Days of Coasters- Day 11- Magic Springs & Crystal Squ

^ no Arkansas Twister at Magic Springs?

That place was one of my "missed parks" because of my re-routing my trip earlier this year (because of rain), so was quite interested in you guys' experience there... and Darren didn't either bother going in ; wow.

^It was down for the day (which was the reason bae didn't come in) - not overly gutted about it but it's a shame as the park is in the middle of nowhere!

Yeah the next few days were so stressful you'd better write them up TayTay <3
