Just zee one! Big Dipper at Blackpool... Great ride considering it's age. I think my second oldest is Great Yarmouth's Roller Coaster, because I'm pretty sure I read somewhere it opened earlier in France before moving to Yarmouth.

Oh, and where the hell is Thunderhawk at Dorney? That opened in 1923 and has been spited from the list </3.

Sure, it was heavily modified at some point, but so was Big Dipper (Blackpool).

+1 for me.

Lets look at the ACTUAL list...

Leap The Dips, Lakemont Park 1902
Scenic Railway, Luna Park 1912
Rutschebanen, Tivoli Gardens 1914
Jack Rabbit, Seabreeze 1920
Jack Rabbit, Kennywood 1920
Roller Coaster, Lagoon 1921
Thunderhawk, Dorney Park, 1923
Big Dipper, Blackpool, 1923
Giant Dipper, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, 5/17/1924
Thunderbolt, Kennywood, 1924

So I gain Dorney's, but lose Belmont's, haha, so still half of them <//3

How is this the Actual list?

Where is your legitimate source?

Going from the RCDB list then, I lose Giant Dipper from Belmont, but gain Thunderbolt at Kennywood and Thunderhawk at Dorney.

6

To be fair though, Thunderbolt was the result of a massive expansion in the '60s, and is nothing like the original 1924 coaster, Pippin. Thunderhawk also had a major redesign in the '30s.

I think the list in the first post is probably more "accurate" when you take that into consideration.

4. tie Jack Rabbit, Kennywood, West Mifflin, PA 1920
8. tie Big Dipper, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool, UK 1923
10. tie Big Dipper, Geauga Lake, Aurora, OH 1925 (currently not operating)

So yah, three. I actually thought all three of them were good rides, especially Jack Rabbit in the back <3

If we go by this list I've actually ridden seven:

1. Leap The Dips, Lakemont Park 1902
2. Rutschebanen, Tivoli Gardens 1914
3. Jack Rabbit, Seabreeze 1920
4. Jack Rabbit, Kennywood 1920
5. Thunderhawk, Dorney Park, 1923
6. Big Dipper, Blackpool, 1923
7. Thunderbolt, Kennywood, 1924

Hopefully I'll be adding Roller Coaster, at Lagoon & Giant Dipper, at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk to that list later this year, but I agree with what Gavin said - the first list is probably more accurate if you go by the ones that haven't been redesigned/modified.

^You say that, but, for a "list of coasters in operation" to have two coasters... not in operation on it...

Plus, as pointed out, Big Dipper was modified and that's there <//3

Ony the Scenic Railway. And that was about a month before it closed in 2005, I was nearly seven years old at the time. Looking forward to the reopening of Dreamland!

2.

Jack Rabbit at Kennywood.
Big Dipper at Geauga Lake.

AND... I have driven past the Santa Cruz Giant Dipper.

I rode the Giant Dipper (SCBB).

If you count it or not, I'm riding the Giant Dipper in Belmont Park this summer.
