I had really hoped from the first drawing that they would be getting a double-launched terrain STC. Though, it's a wacky concept so it'll be nice to see how it plays out.
I know that the coaster enthusiast community isn't the largest out there. But isn't it more likely that the people who lament a ride's closing are not the same people who hated it actively and are glad it's going?
For example, if Grand National closed, I'd be mortified for both the historical...
If Universal GB actually covers to fruition. It would deliver now than this could've ever promised. However, it's very sad that the concept, despite never being even slightly fleshed out, was never delivered. As the idea of a giant theme park complex so close to the hub of the country would have...
I don't think removing the Dungeons would do much to hurt the overall park. An upcharge wouldn't add much to the overall capacity of the park, and it's much harder to justify the additional expenses if it can't even break even. Flavios was a temporary ride anyway, even if it always seemed to...
Based on my recent and distant memories of riding them
1) Top Thrill Dragster (RIP) - Sensational in every aspect: One of the best launches, amazing tophat, tiny lapbars, iconic presentation. Riding this at 11:30pm in the front row has been the highlight of my enthusiast life.
2) Maverick - An...
As someone with a whopping zero years of business experience informing my opinion. Even if the $1m a year is true, I don't get how the combine value to the park of having the tallest rollercoaster in the world, formerly the fastest (which people will remember and still associate with the ride)...
Markers are always ripe for speculation as SOMETHING is happening in the area, regardless of the size. It'd be horrible news if KK were to go, as well as GL. But, other than hearsay suggestions from YouTubers and a screenshot of an apparent article on six flags website, I haven't seen anything...
Awesome! I've hoped that they would do this for years. A dedicated stage for the standard special events would be excellent, but hosting gigs could be a HUGE draw for the park given it's location.
Though I agree, I wish they could have at least widened the path towards storm surge as part of...
That looks so tacky.
Also, HOW are Maurer Selling so many of these? This will be the 7th one sold (one of which being the dueling desmo race) as far as I am aware. Skyline could do with head-hunting some of Maurers marketing team.
UGB opens a Jurassic flyer -> Galactica closes due to redundancy/popularity drop -> AT builds a trench-diving Axis in its place.
And the world will live as one.
Hi all, I am currently live on the scene at PA with a question: Does anyone know why Dragon Khan has such narrow support connectors?
It seems to be only for the strictly vertical supporting connectors, as the side-mounted connectors, and some of the laterally braced vertical supports have the...
I would love to see Universal or Disney give one of these a go, a tamer layout would work wonders for a major Disney ride. However, I can really see this being a one-off smaller installation at one of these middle-eastern megaparks that seems to crop up once in a while and have a standout ride...
It's certainly possible. Enso, despite being ludicrously overpriced, is an incredible experience. Though, it'd lose a good share of it's market appeal due the forced intensity. Also, I'd guess that the added cost of reworking the neighbouring rides to account for the larger clearance envelope...
Yeah, I'm not opposed to this. £10 isn't bad for 2 hours of guides and I know my partner would adore this. For non- coaster fans, this is a great alternative way to enjoy the setting while the coaster nerds go off and bake in the smiler queue for 2 hours.
I don't see how adding to the length would ultimately hurt the ride experience. But I found that, by the end of the ride, I'd had a full experience and was almost grateful to catch my breath from it. The trim does make for a bit of a lull in the rides pacing, but it still felt like a complete...
Absolutely. The scale is almost incomparable in the UK, the layout capitalises on it excellently with 3 of the best elements on any ride ever, and it's smooth with comfy trains.
Stealth is my #0 ride and still holds value for the amazing launch and adrenaline rush, but I can't say it's even a...
