That looks wonderful; dare I say that looks like one of GCI’s most efficient coasters, in that it looks really good and punchy for its size!
I’ll also say what I said before once again; I’d love it if Looping Group could bring a similar coaster to Drayton Manor!
Wow! A ride intertwining with Cobra could be interesting!
I don’t know if I’m reaching a bit here, but that to me might also imply that this coaster is more likely to be custom rather than a clone/stock layout like Paultons’ previous coaster additions. That to me is really exciting; I’d be...
It would seem as though the upcoming new series of The Secret Genius of Modern Life with Professor Hannah Fry on BBC Two will have a roller coaster episode, with the trailer showing shots of her riding Hyperia and walking by Colossus at Thorpe Park:

I’ve posted in threads like these before, but a few newer ones I would nominate are:
Uncharted at PortAventura: When talking about this ride, people often fixate on how poor the on-ride theming is (which I admittedly don’t disagree with), but I think the ride hardware itself is excellent and...
I can assure you that Europa Park and PortAventura certainly both have regular sit down toilets available. I did not encounter a single squatting toilet, or non-typical toilet of any description, during my multi-day visits to either.
I’d assume Gardaland probably does somewhere as well. I know...
I like this idea!
Outside of the Merlin bubble, I myself am already headed to Blackpool Pleasure Beach at the end of April for my first visit in almost 6 years, which I'm excited about! At some point over the summer, I'm also mulling a trip to Barry Island Pleasure Park to tick off some other...
I don’t think it was ever meant to be like the Mack ones. My impression was that the splashdown was always meant to be more of a “fake” one like Shambhala’s.
Mr Danter has also said that he’d ideally like to build it on the site of Cardiff Airport, which seems like a non-starter.
If he wants to build a big theme park in Wales, then all power to him; as someone who lives less than an hour from Cardiff, I’d certainly be a very willing beneficiary of a...
This news is very bleak, but unfortunately anticipated to an extent. I think the writing was on the wall given the park’s downward trajectory within the last year or so, and to be honest, I’d say it’s been a number of years since the park seems to have truly thrived. Oakwood gave off the...
I honestly don't think the splashdown makes any sense with the way they've executed it... an effect like that is designed to be viewable and have spectators getting close to it, yet they hid it behind 7ft fences.
With that in mind, I almost think they'd be better off removing it. It's a real...
The Happy Valley parks (and a lot of other Chinese parks aside from Disney and Universal, to be honest...) look like parks of strange contrast in that the hardware looks really quite decent, but the operations look absolutely terrible.
It is a shame to hear of experiences like yours, as the...
Am I right in thinking that this ride is effectively Intamin's answer to a Mack XTREME Spinning Coaster?
The layout looks very interesting, I must admit!
It’s utterly ludicrous to watch something so big and dominant just casually fall over like a deck of cards… I knew that the implosion would be a unique coaster demolition, but that was such a strange watch!
To my knowledge, it’s never had shoulder straps. It certainly didn’t when I rode in 2023, anyhow.
It’s always had just the overhead lap bar, as far as I’m aware.
Another Six Flags coaster is being repainted, it would seem, with Titan at Six Flags Over Texas going to blue track and white supports:
It’s certainly a change for this coaster, but it could look quite nice when done, I think! It’s also nice to see the new Six Flags doing lots of painting at...
I don't personally think Pleasurewood Hills has too much to fear myself. While it has lacked investment for a number of years, I think it's potentially protected by a couple of factors.
The first point I'd raise is that as others have said, the domestic UK theme park industry may grow overall...
As per Chessington Buzz, Wild Asia has also already closed in preparation for Project Renew and Refresh in 2027, with all references to the area and its rides and shops having vanished from Chessington's website:
I'm surprised Wild Asia has gone already, I'll admit... I thought they'd close it...
